About The 7th on Walnut
Tiny, family-owned sandwich shop doling out cheesesteaks along with creative hoagies & hot dogs.
What People Are Saying
from Google"Our visit to 7th on Walnut Sandwich Shop was entirely unplanned, prompted only by the siren call of free-er smells drifting across the street from Jimmy John’s. Chance, in this instance, proved a better guide than intention. “The Turkey” sandwich was excellent—thoughtfully assembled, generously flavored, and plainly made by someone who respects the quiet dignity of good ingredients. The fresh-cut fries were equally convincing: hot, crisp, and properly seasoned, with none of the apologetic limpness that so often accompanies the phrase house fries. The shop itself is small—two or three tables at most—and makes no attempt to disguise the fact. Yet what it lacks in square footage it repays in warmth. The atmosphere is cozy rather than cramped, the service attentive without ceremony, and the whole operation gives the impression of being run by people who care more for quality than spectacle. In short, 7th on Walnut is the sort of place one hopes not to discover too widely advertised: modest, capable, and quietly excellent. Springfield would do well to keep it just as it is."
"The food was fantastic . The fresh cut fries were very good. We got the Yo Adrian and Big Ben sandwiches. Both were perfect. Highly recommend this hole in the wall. There are only two small tables with 3 total chairs, so don't expect to sit down to eat."
"Highly recommend. We had been looking for a good cheesesteak since our recent trip to Philadelphia. This restaurant did not disappoint. The sandwiches had quality bread and well seasoned meat. Everything was well packaged and arrived fresh and warm without being soggy. We will definitely order from here again and try their other offerings."
"the best food ever. this is exactly what i want when it’s 2am and the drinks are tasting like i need a burger. i got the onion something burger and it was a SPECIAL. HELLO! anyways no doubt in your mind should convince you to not try this place, literally amazing. give them your leftover bar money."
"We absolutely loved our food. In fact, the best burger I've ever had in my life!! And it was their classic/house. My co-worker loved The Fresh with an order of fries. (FYI, only the specials come with fries). However, a minimum of $35 for delivery, plus the fee. Which I understand, we're all still short staffed. Parking is atrious. You can't see a visible sign with the name. Other than "free smells" and cheese-stakes. The interior is walk-up counter. Again best burger"
