What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"On my recent visit to Springfield, I frequented this establishment virtually everyday, as I was staying a stones throw away. The coffee and savoury bagels were good. I was impressed with the complimentary sparking water with my Cortado (something that is common in Italy, buy not the US). Wi-Fi was good and you could always find a place to sit (unlike the quirky coffee shop nearby, which is the main student hang out). I even have one of their customer loyalty cards in my Apple Wallet. Plenty of of points to use next time I visit Springfield. Recommended."
"Travellers House is hands down my favorite coffee shop in Springfield. It has numerous good hot tea options and a very good menu for light snacks. It's conveniently located across the street from Missouri State University. Finding a parking spot in the adjacent lot can be tricky during busy times."
"Visiting Springfield for a couple of days and found myself at traveller's house. First their coffee is good. I usually just get plain lattes with extra shots. Taste of the coffee is phenomenal, amd not burn coffee taste. Then I decided to try their quiche. My mind was blown, crustless quiche wow. Tastes home made so I decided to stop a second time next day. Coffee even better than first day and tries a different quiche on the second day. Both days just awesome."
"This was a perfect spot to grab an snack and get some work done. The atmosphere was clean and spacious. The staff was very kind and friendly. The food and beverages were delicious. I will definitely be back. My only issue was the fact that they closed an hour earlier so we had to cut or whir time short but they were open later than most other cafes!!"
"Great opportunity to try another coffee shop across the street from Missouri State University. Instead of the Potter's House because I heard tell at the last minute it was closed! Great view of National Avenue and Missouri State University from indoors, and the atmosphere is beautiful and even contemporary for the late 2010s (this coffee shop is part of Boomer Town Studios, which opened in 2018). They also brew really good coffee! As much, when I drink coffee here, I have a personal tradition of listening to certain contemporary music from the late 2010s, especially dream pop, which makes the perfect match with the atmosphere! #travellershousecoffee #travellershouse #boomertownstudios #boomertown #missouristateuniversity"
"Coffee is excellent and the location is perfect for midtown/University meeting space. Try the chicken salad, it's the best."
