from Google"Rating: 5/5 Stars Absolute honor to be the first customer in this location! Pharaoh's Donuts makes the best donuts in St. Louis. I have always wondered why they did not expand outside of Downtown St. Louis--perhaps to maintain that authentic quality. Nevertheless, when they announced that they were opening a second location in Central West End, I was very excited for this business. Given the absolute high quality and phenomenal taste of the donuts, there is no doubt in my mind that Pharaoh's Donuts in Central West End will be extremely successful. For this reason, I decided to wake up early to be the first customer at this location at the Grand Opening on 10/31/2020, and I achieved that prestigious honor. Let it be known that the first donut ever purchased from this location was a Blueberry Cake Donut, one of Pharaoh' best overall product offerings. Because of the first-day promotion, I always got a Glazed Donut. Interestingly, this was my first time ever trying this--probably because I always order either the amazing Cinnamon Roll or Blueberry Cake, Red Velvet, and Crumb Cake Donuts. The Glazed Donut from Pharaoh's is absolutely outstanding. It is light, fluffy, and the perfect sweetness. Because it was still warm at 7:00 AM when Pharaoh's Donuts opened, that made it even better. The Central West End location is very nice, and parking is easy. The one benefit of the Downtown location will be that you have the opportunity to get a donut that was literally just fried in the oil and glazed. There is nothing that beats this amazing fresh, sweet taste! Give this place a try. You will definitely fall in love and have a new go-to donut shop!"
"The service is less than perfect. I had ordered a Cinnamon roll and it was pure dough once biting into it. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. The baker came out and was like, "Why would you get something that . . . " Seriously instead of apologizing for serving raw donuts."
"STL has unquestionably one of the best donut scenes out there and as a donut contisuer myself you'd bet my interest was peaked when people told me these were the best in STL. Well, no...just no. The competition here makes these taste like theyre from circle k. The unfortunately most average donut that left me in sadness and dispare. The shop was very dim, selection was small even on a Saturday at 7:30 in the morning. The lady working was super sweet but friends do yourself a favor, go to donut drive in, go to vincent van doughnut and get a real donut experience that'll rock your taste buds and leave you craving for more ooey gooey icing on your lips....also, this was the filled donut. A shame really. To the people who say these are a god send, are you okay? Do you need a ride to greatness? They're just 10 minutes away"
"I just had regular glazed donuts and they were alright. It was was hard for me to find. The lady said that their sidewalk sign was gone which should be a major priority for replace since it will be completely overlooked without one. I also think they'd benefit by opening a bit earlier. I recently tried the cheesecake filling, 😋"
"Honestly I was expecting more from a name like Pharaoh's. This shop has been open for more than a year and it's totally blank inside, nothing on the walls, just a little case and a drink cooler. It really feels like a lot of wasted potential. The donuts weren't too bad. My apple fritter wasn't cooked at all and wasn't really an apple fritter. This shop really needs some love and some oversight. There are at least 4 other places I'd get a Pharaoh's Donut from before I came back here."
