"Unfortunately I can't give 6 stars. I brought my Thai wife here because I heard the flavors were authentic. My wife was amazed that this was the first time she has had Thai food away from Thailand that tasted like home. The 61 choices of dishes made us get 3 to share and we wanted to try more. We had Pad cha, delicious, Red curry, Amazing, and Boat Noodles, put a huge smile on my wife's face. To add to everything, they gave us a complimentary appetizer, WOW. We are from Chicago and have had Thai food everywhere we go and this place is #1 when it comes to authentic flavors. I wish it was closer to home."
"This restaurant has several great points. First it's located in the Loop 6223 Delmar Blvd 63130. There is free street parking in front of this place on the whole block. The pay machine has been removed. The decor is unique, the atmosphere is antique and the subdued lights are very soothing. The Thai dishes I ordered were so good. My server was fast, professional, and so polite. She answered my questions."
"Thai Country Café on Delmar is the kind of place that sneaks up on you. One minute, you’re just looking for a solid Thai spot, and the next, you’re in a seafood-induced trance, transported straight to the streets of Bangkok. Seriously, if you’re a seafood lover, this place is dangerous in the best way. #stlouispescatarianapproved We kicked things off with the fresh spring rolls and if I had stopped there, I still would’ve been happy. They were light and fresh. But, of course, we had to keep going. Enter: the seafood fried rice. Fluffy and absolutely LOADED with seafood. Then came the fish curry, rich, creamy, and just the right amount of heat. Portions? Massive. Go hungry or go home. You will be leaving with leftovers, and you will be excited about it."
"Probably a different style of Thai food not to our liking. The service was very good and very friendly. The pad Thai noodles were kind of tough so you couldn’t easily bite the ones hanging out of your mouth. Made eating them a little awkward. And the sauce was different than I’ve had before. Again just not to my liking. The shrimp in the pad Thai were cooked perfectly. NOTE: this pad Thai was much much better left over the next day. I’m pretty sure it was undercooked and that was the reason it seemed substandard. But you know what they say. You don’t get a second chance to make a first impression. The curry dish we got with eggplant and all the vegetables was good, but the rice was so sticky that it was just in a clump. Learned a lesson not to order Chinese food in a Thai restaurant. Duh. The crab Rangoon had an overly sweet filling and was not crispy, even though it was fried. I wouldn’t recommend."
"We were looking for a place to have a quick dinner at before a show and came upon this lovely establishment. Service was quick and staff were very friendly...."
