"Man, I love this place. I’m in here at least once a week for coffee and food. Sometimes I just run in for a quick pick-me-up snack after pilates at the place next door. Everyone is always so nice and the coffee is easily in my STL top 3."

"My main issue was the coffee. I had ordered a vanilla latte and was unable to taste the vanilla syrup or the espresso properly. The latte tasted more like milk than anything. However the atmosphere was great, and I overheard customers saying the food was enjoyable. I was just a bit dissapointed in the quality of the coffee. I have been to the hifi location and there latte was amazing, therefore I was expecting the same quality."

"The times I have been in, the music has been too loud and high-energy for me to accomplish anything meaningful in the way of work or conversation. I have always had to cut my visits short because concentrating is impossible. It almost seems as if they're going for a club atmosphere rather than a mellow coffee shop vibe. There is so much potential here! I hope they listen and keep at least morning hours a little more peaceful."

"Headline: Save Your Money! Upshot Coffee, as I understand it, took over or bought out the old Road Crew Coffee & Cycles in September of 2025. I was there on 11/26/2025 only because it’s right across the street from South City Scooters – where they were changing the oil in my mighty 49cc ‘HOG’. #sarcasm😜 Yes…there’s plenty of room inside with outside seating available for those nice days. The bike racks are still there too. However, what I also saw was an overpriced menu for both food & drinks. A Hot Turtle/Mocha (Carmel/Mocha) cost MORE here for 12 ounces than 16 ounces at my usual haunt about a mile & a half away. Plus, there’s another well-known shop on Hartford Ave. less than a mile away. More disgusting than the price was the taste. I poured a third of it away into the dirt as I walked back across the street. I guess if you wanna be “fashionable” or throw money away, this might be the place for you. For me a hot drink from a gas station has about the same taste at a third the price. Sorry folks…I don’t relish writing negative reviews. I’m just expressing an honest opinion."

"Had the breakfast burrito this morning and have mentioned to my husband at least 4 times today how much I enjoyed it. Thinking about going back tomorrow for another one. The crispy cheese on the outside, plus the sauce they put on there, is what does it for me. It was pretty busy in there but I thought the staff were super friendly!"
