"Moving my reviews over from Yelp. This one was written after my first visit there and I think I dined with the Wesch on this one. Originally published 10/27/19: This place is amazing! Like seriously so amazing that I recommend everyone go try it now. Unfortunately, restaurants don't always last in the area and it will be a crying shame if this place closes before I get there about 10 more times. The wife was out of town for work so I reached out to one of my Yelp partners in crime for dinner at a place I probably couldn't get her to go. This time around, Stephen W. chose Tumeric. Neither of us had ever been there but we both have an affinity for spicy Indian food. Kitty was our waitress and she seemed to be in a bit of a hurry to get us in and out of the place until we explained to her that we wanted to go one dish at a time and enjoy the evening. Once we made that clear, the pace of service improved significantly. First up was their kebab sampler. It included tiger shrimp, kandari chicken, paneer two ways and lamb. I started at one end and worked my way to the other end. Each selection was even more amazing than the one before. This platter is incredibly shareable for two people and bursting with flavor...and enough heat to get your attention without causing you to run screaming from the restaurant. If I had to name a favorite it would probably be the kandari chicken. Tender and juicy chicken thighs packed a huge punch of flavor and the right amount of heat. Don't miss this one! Next up was their Neptune Platter which is a vegetarian dish. It included Somosas, Green Tikki, Paneer (two different ways), Cauliflower, roasted bell pepper remoulade. I did not eat this one from right to left as I did with the kebabs. The items on this platter were a bit less spicy but still incredibly flavorful. The sleeper of the night was definitely the cauliflower. I can't begin to imagine how they pulled it off but it could substitute for a good Chinese restaurant's General Tsao's Chicken. Mind = blown. The next thing to arrive was the two orders of naan: garlic and chili. Who knew that you could make bread spicy? Apparently, if you cut up one of those little green heat bombs and mix it in to your naan batter before cooking you can turn out a bread product that will light you up. The last item arrived with the basket of naans. It was the Chicken Tikka Masala. Beautiful dish all around but a bit more expected than some of the other stuff we ate. They used chicken thighs instead of white meat which made it better than what's available at a lot of places around town. They also served it with a side of rice that had a bunch of extra stuff in it such that it was more interesting than plain rice. It was one fine meal and I cannot wait to return to try more of their menu!"

"Probably one of the best Indian restaurants in St. Louis. Located on the loop in university city near Washington University. Really reasonable prices! Really great food. Great server who took his time and made some recommendations that we followed. We were not disappointed. Beautifully appointed Restaurant. The garlic naan bread was very good. Tried two different Indian beers, note though they’re $12 apiece. But they we’re a pint PLUS 6 ounces and quite good. Not a big fan of yelp, but it was the only way to get a reservation."

"I highly recommend the chicken masala dosa. Comes on a huge plate (see photo). The timing of when our dishes arrived was a little off but the quality of the food made up for it. And they are super nice."
