from Google"Absolutely charming building located right off the main drive on a quiet street. The staff was very friendly and our server Steven was knowledgeable about the menu and gave us several recommendations. My bestie got the Southern style pot roast and I got the shrimp poboy. The bread they served the table was warm and delicious and we got bread pudding as our desert. It came with two sauces, white chocolate and a praline pecan. They were good but I didn't use either as I don't like anything on my bread pudding."
"Wonderful food and wonderful service! My partner and I came here for brunch. We were roughly 12 minutes late and when we were on our way, the restaurant called me to confirm if I was still making it. They were very friendly the entire time and the lady at the front desk definitely displayed genuine southern hospitality. That was already a big plus for our experience. I ordered the gulf crab cake benedicts, and they were legit the best egg benedicts that I have ever had. There wasn't an overwhelming amount of hollandaise sauce, which was amazing because too often egg benedicts would have too much of it to define the flavor. Instead, the crab cakes were very well-seasoned by themselves already, containing a good spice level. Once I broke open the poached egg, the yolk elevated the entire dish's taste. The side gouda grits also had the perfect balance of creaminess and grainy-ness, while seasoned very well. My partner and I also enjoyed the Bayou Crawfish Nachos, which had a ridiculous amount. There was definitely a generous amount of crawfish meat and andouille sausage. There was also a lot of spicy cheese sauce, but because everything else was so abundant, the sauce was able to ensure every tortilla chip is coated with it. It was very delicious! Individually, my partner had the beignets and they overall liked it, mentioning that they weren't able to find good beignets in the north (we're located in Minnesota) and that what they had here was more than satisfactory. They also ordered the biscuit and gravy with white gravy, and specifically said that when they took the first bite, it was like the moment in the animation Ratatouille when Anton Ego had his first bite of Remy's ratatouille dish: in other words, the dish brought them back to when their grandmother made biscuits and gravy, in the most positive way. It was that good. If you have read up until this point already, then I think you know that this place is a solid 5 star in my book. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Biloxi, or just any of the three places in Misssissippi that has this restaurant. Last but not least, a special shoutout to our server Miles K, who mentioned that he was still a student and working at the restaurant during break. He was very hospitable and courteous, helping us every step of the way. If management reads this, please know that I would advocate for his retention!"
"Our waiter Michael W was awesome. He was the best part of our experience. He was great at communicating when drinks and food were arriving! And he was super attentive and we never had to chase him down for anything. The 12oz New York strip with Gouda grits was amazing. My husband had the sweet hot pecan chicken which was also delicious. We recommend the Lucky Penny for drinks! So yummy and smooth! Cons: the young hostess up front was not the best. She came off as kind of rude when we said we didn’t have a table reservation. She did offer the bar. But we declined and made a table reservation online while standing there. When we told her we made a reservation online she just said “ok”. While she did end up seating us, I just felt like she came off as overwhelmed on a busy Saturday night and therefore was a little standoffish and rude. The older lady with short grey hair working with her was much nicer. We will probably come back another time knowing we should have a reservation beforehand."
"Shared the 14 oz NY strip with red potatoes, sweet potatoes and wedge salad. Lettuce on wedge was a little wilted tons of blue cheese crumbles, but still tasty. The new york strip was perfectly cooked, very flavorful, loved the red potatoes, sweet mashed were a little too sweet. Loved the bread they serve with the meal. Stephen our waiter was great. Huge restaurant with inside and outside seating plus a full bar."
"From the moment we were seated, our server, Jess T, was incredibly helpful and accommodating. She took the time to explain the dishes and made great recommendations. The food was amazing Red Beans and Rice, Blacken Red Fish, fried green tomatoes are a hit. And last that's fresh blue cheese stuffed olive Grey Goose martini that was so good I had a few. As the first place we ate in Biloxi Jess T made our dining experience truly special."
