What People Are Saying

from Google & Yelp

"On I10 heading home came across Brick &Spoon. The breakfast was great. Treena our waitress with only three days of experience was extremely professional and pleasant. She recommended Devil on the Bayou and we weren’t disappointed along with the Southerner with biscuit, sausage and pouched egg and sausage gravy. This was a great morning start for getting back on the road. Enjoy, I know I did."

"We stopped in for breakfast/brunch and had a mixed experience. The wait for a table was about 30 minutes, even though there were plenty of open tables inside. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt since it’s a busy beach town on Labor Day, and staffing may have been short due to the help moving away to college or something. Once seated, our server was very friendly and attentive, which we appreciated. I ordered the summer special peach cobbler beignets—though not really “beignets,” they were delicious. Unfortunately, they didn’t arrive until after our meals were served, which was disappointing, since I ordered with our drinks for an appetizer since we had a toddler and baby with us. I had the breakfast tacos. The flavor was great, but they were served cold after nearly an hour wait. I did like the idea of the fried wonton wrappers instead of tortillas, but they crumbled too easily, making them hard to eat. My daughter ordered the Killer Creole Omelet, which was hot and generously filled with shrimp, but her grits were so cold the cheese wouldn’t melt. My husband’s Bacon Cali Burger with jalapeños was the highlight—served at the right temperature, flavorful, and well-prepared. We suspect the other food sat while his finished cooking. He did have to return his coffee because the first cup appeared to come in a dirty 🤯 coffee ☕️ cup - outside and inside. Overall, the food had good flavors, and our server was excellent, but the long wait times, inconsistent food temperatures, and high prices really took away from the experience. We might give it another try, but we’d definitely think twice before coming back."

"Absolutely amazing! We are not locals. Here for a School Music Competition. Decided to check out Brick & Spoon! Started eating and realized we MUST do a review. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was relaxed but classy. Whether for brunch or lunch, Brick & Spoon will not disappoint — 5 star highly recommend!"

"November 24, 2025 stopped by on my way back to GA. I asked for my egg scrambled well (not running egg) and pancake without powdered sugar, coffee and water. The pancake was not to my liking nor the eggs. Had to go ask for butter for the pancake. Never got a refill on water. The butter was solid and the pancake wasn’t warm enough to melt the butter. Service wasn’t good. Was seated as soon as we walked in about 10:30am."
