"We stopped in for lunch per a local's recommendation and were very pleased. The restaurant is beautiful and today was still beautifully decorated for Christmas with a tall tree at the entrance. We were seated quickly (no wait at 11:30am on a Monday) but as we were leaving around 12:45-1pm, there was a crowd waiting to be seated. We enjoyed the eggplant fries appetizer. The wasabi aoli that comes with them was not too spicy and had a remoulade flare to it, it was good. We also ordered marinara to go along with the eggplant. It was served chunky style and had a nice flavor. Entrees enjoyed included the eggplant parmesian and gnocchi with a side salad and a cup of soup. The lunch menu is $10 and has quite a selection, the soup and salad were a $4 upcharge but were worth it. We got the honey vinaigrette dressing and it was delicious! Definitely recommend! Everyone at the table loved everything and all agreed we would go back."

"Since 2001, We are visiting this restaurant from New Orleans. Many times we drive 90 miles just to have a great time and delicious food. Despite my being vegetarian always enjoy many Italian appetizers, soups and entrees. The staff is very friendly and understands customers need. Always provide service with smiles and lots respect towards customers. God bless them."

"Well, that was an interesting meal. Started when my elderly parents and I came in and staff didn't bother to hold the door open for my dad when coming out, followed by no fewer than 4 or 5 other staff nearly running my folks and I over in a hurry to go to patrons who weren't even there (it was 3:30PM....). My dad asked to be seated outside and the young lady, Nicole, (I think?) who was sweet enough at first, sat us. She brought us our drinks and some bread with spinach and artichoke dip along with my dad's calamari app. She was attentive and a great conversationalist but you could tell she, too, was overly in a hurry to get our order and get us outta there. The bread and spinach dip was bland and uneventful. The calamari breading was like eating unseasoned phyllo dough. I was really unimpressed. Then, a lady nearby began chainsmoking upwind, so my mom and I asked to be moved. I was gonna move all our plates and glasses- of which there were few since we'd only received our drinks and app. However, it was clear we'd caused our server an imposition. She went inside and sent out some even younger blonde chick to passive-aggressively ask us if we'd like to be moved again and then tell us they were short-staffed so she didn't know where they'd be able to move us. Mind you, IT WAS 3:30PM and the only patrons were AT THE BAR. I was pretty much done after that. Our food came out and I had the tri-tip and crab cakes. I'll hand it to em, the crab wasn't bad and I lived in MD having my fill of fresh crab for a half decade. The tri-tip? Still nothing to write home about. The worst part? I explicitly told the waitress I was getting the check and she still gave it to my parents who've been on fixed income and can't afford $100 bills on a whim like me. And my dad, the stubborn man he is, wouldn't let me pay so I was made to feel like the worst only child in the world pawning off a check of that magnitude for mediocre food on my cash-strapped father. Thanks for that, btw. When I tell someone I want the check, I want the dang check for a reason, so stop being cute with the customers and do as they ask. All in all, we were bombarded with disgusting cigarette smoke our entire meal, but it didn't matter since there wasn't any flavor in the food for the smoke plumes to ruin anyway."

"If you are eating here, ask for Alec. He’s absolutely amazing. His attention to detail is outstanding. I just ate here and overall, this place was solid. The food was really good, probably one of the best Italian spots I’ve been to aside from a place in New Orleans that I can’t recall right now. But what truly stood out was the customer service. They were absolutely amazing. Super courteous, very kind, and quick to attend to everyone, including myself. Everyone was smiling the whole time and the vibe was just positive. No rudeness at all like you sometimes get at other restaurants. They were also very accommodating. Honestly, if you have a bad experience here, you’re probably just a difficult person because this staff is easily some of the best I’ve encountered in town. Now for the food: Fried mozzarella: This was a winner. Imagine a hashbrown-sized, triangle-shaped mozzarella stick. Crispy outside, cheesy and gooey inside. Delicious. Spinach artichoke dip: Creamy, flavorful, and surprisingly good even for someone like me who’s not into balsamic flavors. Glad I tried it. Pepperoni pizza: Fresh mozzarella, solid crust, and great flavor overall. Definitely recommend it. Spaghetti and meatballs: Very flavorful sauce, noodles cooked just right. The meatballs were bigger than I expected, and I usually prefer them firmer, but these were really tender and not dry at all. That’s more of a personal preference because the quality was definitely there. As someone who eats a lot and tries new food often, I was happy to see large portion sizes. Perfect for people like me who can put away a serious amount of food. I would absolutely come back here. Great food, generous servings, and exceptional customer service. Definitely worth checking out."

"I had an amazing meal at Salute in Gulfport. The Caesar salad was fresh, crisp, and loaded with parmesan—simple but delicious. The Chicken Parmesan was the highlight: perfectly fried, topped with rich marinara, and covered in beautifully melted cheese. Paired with angel hair pasta and more parmesan and basil, it was pure comfort on a plate. If you’re craving quality Italian on the Coast, Salute is definitely worth a visit."
