"We visited Shaggy’s, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The service was outstanding! Megan and Hailey were attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcome. The drinks were perfectly balanced and well made. We started with the gator bites. They came out a bit hot so let them sit for a second but they were flavorful and paired well with the sauce. We also ordered the coconut shrimp plate, which was fried to perfection. The lobster mac and cheese was another highlight. While there was not a large amount of lobster meat, the flavor was so rich and well done that it truly did not need more. It was creamy, indulgent, and perfectly seasoned. The jerk shrimp bowl was also a standout. The combination of pineapple salsa and jasmine rice was incredibly satisfying. Even after a full meal, the portions were generous enough that we still had plenty left to take home. Overall, great food, excellent service, and a place we would absolutely return to."

"Stopped in for lunch when we arrived in Gulfport for a few days vacation. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome. Very friendly and welcoming. Fun decor and color scheme, and it put us in the beach mood immediately. Quickly seated us at a great table with a view of the Gulf. Great menu suggestions from the host, and wonderful attentive service by our server Austyn. Menu had so many good options, it was hard to choose. Food was great and delivered to us quickly. We both enjoyed our entrees. We had a teriyaki chicken dish, and a southwestern bowl. We will definitely make a return visit during this trip to try some other options that looked great on the menu."

Lovely Emily welcomed and seated us with a smile that set the tone for the entire visit. Our server, Arlana, was attentive and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. We started with savory, flavorful gumbo, followed by a huge seafood platter for two—crispy fries, golden shrimp, oysters, flounder, and hush puppies that were all absolutely delicious. The barbecue wings appetizer was finger-licking good! The atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable, and our drinks were refilled promptly without even having to ask. A special thank you to Emily again—her warmth and professionalism truly reflect the spirit of Shaggy’s. Even the employee working out back gave me a great impression before I entered. When I asked, “How’s the food here?” he smiled and answered, “Oh yes, ma’am,” with that genuine down-home Southern charm that told me everything I needed to know. As a recently retired high school teacher of 30+ years, that kind of respect and authenticity means a lot to me. "Mason was super friendly greeting me and my newlywed husband when we first came in, he definitely needs some sort of bonus! After we were seated, Nicole was our server. She was an absolute angel. After we told her where we were from and that we were newly married on our honeymoon, she got us a free dessert!! The food was delicious and the portions were huge.
