From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, making us feel right at home despite our brief visit. Our room was super cozy, comfortable, and inviting—perfect for relaxing after a day of travel. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, and it was clear that great care is taken to make guests feel comfortable. Even though our stay was short, we enjoyed it so much that we’re already planning to return, especially during the summer months. We highly recommend the Almanett Hotel and Bistro to anyone looking for a charming place to stay with exceptional hospitality."

"We stopped by a nearby restaurant for lunch by accident. We ordered seafood hamburger, okra, fried green tomatoes, and jamalai—basically, all the traditional dishes to get a feel for the southern Mississippi atmosphere. Everything was delicious. But the lamb chops really took us by surprise—they were some of the best I've ever had. Tender, soft, and juicy all at once. And then came the surprise. We happened upon karaoke at the restaurant (for reference, they're on Wednesdays). The voices of the customers were something else! It was like being at a jazz festival. Overall, I highly recommend visiting—you'll not only have a great dinner but also enjoy the pleasant atmosphere."

"The Almanett Hotel was the perfect place to stay for our week in Gulfport! Having the entire place to ourselves made it feel like a home away from home, everyone felt so comfortable and well cared for. Michael and Tasha were incredibly accommodating and easy to work with throughout the entire process. They went out of their way to ensure everything ran smoothly and that our family had everything they needed. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and it truly added to the joy of our wedding weekend. "My wife and I just stopped by for dinner. The environment was great. The food was basic and didn't stand out like I expected. The fish was so bland, it had no flavor and small. The shrimp was suppose to be jumbo shrimp, but they were small. I don't think we will be going back."

"My second stay at the hotel. However the service left a lot to be desired. We waited 15 plus minutes before someone helped us. Check in itself took over 15 minutes too as they had nothing prepared. What I loved in my first trip was the genuine warmth I felt from the host and staff. That was sorely missing. I felt like an unwelcome guest at someone’s nice house. Rooms are great, location is nice but the magic was not there."
