What People Are Saying
from Google"The burgers were absolutely great—juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. The red beans and rice, though, completely stole the show—phenomenal flavor, perfectly seasoned, and truly comforting. Friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere made the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot I’d recommend to anyone looking for delicious Cajun-inspired food."
"Stumbled on this place driving to Jackson. Good google reviews so we gave it a try. It did not disappoint. Super friendly staff. The debris po-boy is fantastic. Fresh made pickles. Oyster po-boy was perfect. Banana pudding delicious. It’s worth the extra couple of minutes to get off the interstate if you are tired of the regular sandwich and burger places! We will be back on the return trip!"
"The food was amazing! We ordered the Shrimp Po' Boy & the Red Beans and Rice "Monday" special! I can't wait to go back!"
"While in Hattiesburg, MS for some antiquing, my wife found The Art of Roux—and wow, what a gem! She ordered the red beans and rice, and I went with the Holy Trinity (red beans and rice, jambalaya, and gumbo). Every bite was packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. The young man at the register was not only friendly, but also gave us some great recommendations for other things to do around town. Between the amazing food and the welcoming atmosphere, this place is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!"
"I ordered red beans and rice and a small thing of the gumbo with cornbread. I really was impressed with how well it was packed! Everything in its own container sealed. The red beans were amazing for some it does have a tiny kick due to sausage. The gumbo was not spicy at all I know a lot of ppl who search high and low for that so here it is. It was still pretty good. Cornbread was pretty decent. Sweet Cornbread. Thank you for making my lunch and my day! And night lol because it was a lot."
