"I had such a wonderful experience with Café 1321 and its amazing owner, Katie, that I had to leave a review. This past week, I found a very tiny, sick kitten outside my workplace. It was in rough shape, way too young to be away from its mother, clearly malnourished, and crying out in pain. I called every shelter, rescue, and vet I could find within an hour’s drive, and sadly, no one was able or willing to help. Someone suggested I try Café 1321, a new cat café in the area. I gave them a call and spoke to Katie, the owner. Even though she told me she doesn’t normally take in emergency cases and is still just getting her business off the ground, she kindly agreed to help. I drove about 40 minutes to bring her the kitten, and I’m so glad I did. Katie was so compassionate, welcoming, and quick to care for the little kitten like it was her own. She immediately got to work tending to it without hesitation, and it was clear how much love and dedication she has for the cats she rescues. We chatted for a while, and I learned she’s running the café on her own with some help from her mother, while also working a full-time job. She’s not very tech-savvy and doesn’t even have a donation link set up yet, but she’s doing everything she can to give these cats a safe and loving place to live, and to help them find forever homes. Café 1321 is a calm, welcoming space full of adorable, sweet cats. Whether you’re looking to adopt or just want some relaxing cat therapy, I highly recommend visiting.
