from Google"Kayla must own another bakery across town. 😁 The King Cake was as good as those we've had from the top places in NOLA but beware it's definitely a different style. Both the cake and icing are very light. The icing is airy like whipped cream and the cake is far from thick and doughey. Kinda like the cotton candy version of King Cakes and you have to stop or one person could eat the whole thing."
"It was pretty simple. I walked in picked out my king cake, made my purchase and walked out. I got home, tried a piece and it was delicious!! The cream cheese frosting was so light and airy. The cake was delicious as well! Light and airy cake. The price was reasonable. The king cake was sweet but not over bearing!! It was great!!"
"We’ve been wanting to try this place since we moved here a few months ago. I love pastries, and I’m pretty picky about them. We had a great time! They were quick and efficient with our order. I chose the chicken salad sandwich mainly because it came on a croissant, and I was not disappointed, it was marvelous. I also tried the almond croissant and sticky bun. So fresh and so good! We’ll definitely be back."
"This would be my first visit to Loblolly bakery. I visited for one thing and one thing only… the king cake! Upon arrival, the parking lot is kind wonky to get in and out of. The king cakes are simply put on the rack as a grab and go type situation. Also, you sorta have to handle the product to find the flavors. All that said, the king cake? Holy smokes are they good. Ended up purchasing four of them. I don’t Robert St. John makes anything without intent or purpose. This man knows what he’s doing!"
"Oh my, what a find. I was looking for a delightful breakfast to go along with my morning coffee. We happened to see it driving by and are so glad we stopped. The bakery is in full view, and although there is ample seating, the star is the bakery operations. We had the biscuits both with egg and just bacon. They were phenomenal. The pastry was good, but the dough was not super flaky. It's worth a stop for sure. Note: Parking in the front is limited, and the spots are tight."
