What People Are Saying
from Google"Been here 2 times and had different experiences. First time got a sliced brisket sandwich which was $15 and only had 2 slices of meat on the sandwich(see pic) and meat was cooked on a grill. 2nd time had wings on Wed. wing night and was delicious and a great pitcher of margaritas."
"Dry chewy flavorless brisket, watery gumbo, slowest kitchen ever, barbecue sauce tasted generic… I will say the collard greens were the lone bright spot but super slow service. I was about the only customer there for an entire hour & now I know why… Had to get my food to go it took so long…"
"Blackened Shrimp po-boy was really good w/ the mac&cheese. Customer service was amazing was greeted with seconds of entering. Clean bar top not sticky like other places. Great bar/drink selection $27 w/ tip for just myself priced accordingly portion sizes are good definitely worth it. Music isn’t to loud."
"Brisket was moist, Chicken was a little dry. I would try their sausage next time."
"We had a peaceful lunch at Murky Waters BBQ. Just me and some kids during a weekday. Walking inside there is a distinct ‘smoked’ aroma which we got used to eventually. The food was delicious smoked meats. The kids menu was healthy. We ordered the kids burger and fries. The kids chicken bites are a smoked chicken lightly breaded which made it more chewy and a bit drier than what my kiddo looks for in chicken pieces. I had the brisket salad which was very large and could have easily been split into two salads. The brisket was delicious and I could choose my own sauce or dressing. The service was very polite and working very hard. We stopped here because it was directly across from the zoo and had a kids menu. The bathrooms are clean but limited to one each. We may try it again someday when we are in town."
