"My hotel highly recommend I try The Iron Horse Grill for Lunch. I am grateful that they did. The food was fantastic. I had the steak and shrimp fajitas and I give them a tan out of 10 the steak was tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. The shrimp were fabulous and the veggies, beans, rice and side items were all just fabulous and the chips and dip was as good or better than any Mexican restaurant. Equally as great was the atmosphere and service. My waitress, Victoria, took great care of me and checked to make sure that the food was to my liking as well as providing just the right amount of attention. I look forward to stopping in again the next time I’m in Jackson. Maybe then, I’ll save room for dessert."

"I was visiting with a cousin and she recommended this place as a go to for brunch. As soon as we got there, we were seated right away. Although our waiter, Darius, was new to the restaurant, he did his best with service and accommodating our needs. While we were there, there was live music and the musician, Todd, walked around and played side table! It was great! I love live music! Ok, now on to the food. There is a brunch special that they have for about $24 at the time of this review and you can have anything you want, however, you are only allowed to go up alone time. You get waffles, omlettes, and grits with all the sides and trimmings. I had fried fish, fried okra, and Mac and cheese. I have to work off the pounds it put on me, but it was good. I had the seafood dip and that was good as well. A bit of warning, if you have a shellfish allergy or any allergy, which a person in my party was, be sure to state your food allergies prior to placing your order. Also, the shrimp and fish are cooked in the same pot/grill so if you have a shellfish allergy, choose something else. The manager did come out and apologized and we were able to order something else. All in all, it was a great visit and I would go back again. Be careful driving there though, the streets in that area are horrible! I thought streets in New Orleans were bad, but Jackson, Mississippi wins that award!"

"First time eating here and really enjoyed it. We were a party of 7. We had a short wait, which is no big deal! Once seated we ordered multiple appetizers. We had the soul city seafood dip and the IH sampler platter. The dip was good but it was somewhat lacking in seasoning. The platter was good. The fried broccoli and queso is a good combination. For my meal I had the filet with crab meat, loaded baked potato, and the street corn. The steak was well cooked and had a good flavor. I really enjoyed the street corn, it had a sweet flavor. Overall enjoyed the food and would definitely go back."

"Great place. The ribs were meaty and done right. The love music had the right amount of variety. Carla (I hope I got her name right) was very helpful with our orders and attentive to our questions. She also recommended us to visit the wax museum upstairs. Great meal and great history. Thanks."

"I recently attended a surprise birthday party for my uncle at The Iron Horse Grille, and it was an excellent experience all around. The food was delicious – everyone enjoyed their meals, and the flavors really stood out. The atmosphere was perfect, with a warm, welcoming vibe and nice music playing in the background that wasn’t too loud. We had a private room upstairs for the event, which gave us just the right amount of space and privacy. Our waitress did a fantastic job – she was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. It was a great place to celebrate, and I’d highly recommend it for both special occasions and a great night out."
