"Cats at Play Cafe is such a great spot in Asheville. You can tell right away that the owners and their team truly care about what they do. I can only imagine that running a cat café isn’t easy, but their warmth and compassion follow through to their business that creates a calm, friendly space for both cats and visitors. The cats were friendly and energetic and I love that 100% of their adoption payments go straight to their local partner rescues. It really shows their commitment. When I stopped recently I saw two people adopting cats, and it was great to see how happy everyone was. It certainly made me feel good knowing that those kitties are going to homes where they’ll be loved and cared for. The café itself is cozy, with drinks and snacks to enjoy while you spend time with the cats, plus a wonderful selection of gifts for cat lovers or to treat yourself. It’s a relaxing and rewarding place to visit, whether you’re thinking about adopting or just need the purrrrfect dose of cat joy."

"Cats at Play Cafe has been the highlight of our annual Asheville trips since we discovered them in 2024 - I book a reservation every time we come (we have four cats at home and need a cat fix while we’re in town 😹).The cats are all extremely well taken care of, and there is obviously so much love that goes into each detail of the cat cafe. The set up of the cat area is so well thought out; if I was a cat, I’d be in paradise haha. The coffees all have cute cat theme names, and the retail area has a lot of creations from local artists! If you’re a cat lover like me you’ll want to buy everything so bring extra cash - you can also buy single Churu treats to bring in to the cat area and feed to the kitties 🥰 Such a great experience!!"
