What People Are Saying
from Google"Really Solid Breakfast! I stumbled upon this restaurant while visiting Asheville and on Christmas Eve very few places were open. I had an omelette with goat cheese, Fresh herbs, spinach & mushrooms added for an upcharge. THE BISCUITS ARE SO GOOD AND THE BLUEBERRY/BLACKBERRY JAM. The only reason I gave 4 stars was that the potatoes (home fries) were not hot. I did order a 2nd meal to go for someone else. That meal was the Charleston King-Chicken biscuit. Overall the food was great, and the service was awesome! I would like to add that everything is locally sourced."
"Early Bird was amazing! Their menu choices made it very hard to make a decision so we got several dishes and shared them. The goat cheese omelet was amazing and the hot honey chicken sandwich was to die for. We met the manager Randy and he shared the history and how dietary friendly the restaurant is to so many special dietary needs. He brought us their delicious biscuit French toast which I did not think we could taste anything better than what we just had until we put that in our mouth. It was truly like tasting heaven. I highly recommend not missing the Early Girl Eatery"
"The table we were sat at wasn’t cleaned beforehand, so the host wiped it down once very quickly. It still wasn’t very clean. There was a spill below the table from the people before him. The food was mediocre, especially because my food came out with spinach that had gone bad. One of our forks had a prong that was bent about two inches out of place. The waiter took a long while to bring out our waters & coffee. The website boasts gluten free waffle & pancakes, but this location (downtown Asheville) didn’t offer it. Sadly, I don’t recommend"
"We absolutely cannot get over how INCREDIBLE our experience here was. We were hungry and thirsty and have talked about how this was one of the best meals ever. Our server Jeremiah was the BEST, he had amazing service, kindness, and was truly the reason we had such an awesome time. He understood us and made sure we were having a great time. The food was great, so many vegan options, and our drinks were perfect. I had an awesome tofu scramble and vegan sausage. Best time at the Early Girl Eatery!!"
"Review for Early Girl Eatery (Downtown) Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you're looking for a quintessential Asheville brunch, this is the spot! We had a fantastic meal and every dish was a hit. We ordered a mix of savory and sweet: the chicken and waffles were perfectly executed, the omelet was fresh, and the home fries were seasoned just right. I know it sounds unusual for a breakfast-heavy meal, but the salad was actually a standout for me! I’m a sucker for fruit and candied pecans in a salad, and this one was delicious and fresh. 💡 Pro-Tips for Your Visit: * The Wait: Be prepared for a long wait in the morning, especially on weekends. It’s a popular spot. * Parking: Don’t stress about street parking; there is a parking deck nearby that makes it much easier. Will be a charge but not outrageous. * While You Wait: Since it's right in the heart of downtown, there are plenty of great shops nearby to walk around and explore while you wait for your table. Definitely worth the visit if you’re in town!"
