"Mountain madre is a great Mexican style restaurant downtown Asheville. It offers a little something for everyone with a unique flare on Mexican flavors. We enjoyed the queso and the guacamole was extremely fresh tasting. The taco portions were large, two tacos felt filling. Server was very friendly."

"After a historic ghost walk and walking around downtown, my friends and I were starving. We stopped by Mountain Madre and were so glad we did. The loaded nachos were HUGE and delicious. We added chicken. Only thing that could've made it better for me would have been adding jalapenos. But everyone in my group might not have wanted that. The margaritas were also yummy and I would stop here again for sure."

"We visited this place on one of our very first dates and we came back this year again and it was very different from what we can remember. If you’re expecting authentic Mexican this is not it. It’s very gentrified, and alright. The drinks were okay as well. The staff was amazing although our waitress could’ve been al little happier to work there. This place is special too us and hope it doesn’t keep changing so much. We remembered it being more authentic back in 2021."

"Ordered the pork belly tacos, but it's just pulled pork. Service and atmosphere pretty mid. The only Mexican element of the meal was the Modelo beer. These gringos sell "queso" for $14 😂"
