from Google & Yelp"This place is so cute and has the best coffee. I came to the area for a retreat and we had Bald Guy every morning, and did some coworking in the roastery. Highly recommend, they were so friendly as well!"
"Bald Guy Brew Coffee is one of the best coffees I ever had anywhere I have been in the country and I have had coffee from roasters everywhere and I am pretty fussy. In addition to having excellent organic coffee, the coffeeshop also was one of the coolest I have ever seen. The coffeeshop is in what appears to be an old rustic cabin and full of antiques and various types of equipment and machinery I am not too familiar with. In addition to that they do have the coffee roasting machines there and its nice to watch them do the roasting. I got to sit on the rocking chair enjoying a beautiful view of colorful mountains while sipping on some of the best coffee ever. It was definitely the best coffeeshop experience I have ever had. I had a couple different coffees here, including a Colombia and a Naturally Processed Yirgacheffe which was the best naturally processed coffee I can remember having. It had a smooth, yet rich, earthy and mildly fruity balance. Many naturals I have end up tasting too tart or fruit-heavy (like sweet wine). This natural processing in this coffee really brought out the complex flavors, which I feel a good natural processed coffee should do. I got to meet the roaster Don who is a great guy and even gave me a little sample to take home back to Charlotte. It's too bad they don't have a coffeeshop like this is Charlotte, but anytime in Boone this probably would be the only coffeeshop I would go to and is a real gem!"
"This place is by far the best Coffee place. We stopped in being new to town and was warmly greeted. They have the wood stove going tying in the coziness. Coffee is 1000% and so is the breakfast. I highly recommend this spot"
"Best coffee in Boone, hands down. It's no frills - don't come here for fancy flavored drinks (although the few that they offer are excellent). But, if you want excellent, sustainable, single origin coffee, this is the best place to get it. Don (the bald guy) is truly a master roaster. It's especially exciting when I walk in and see he has some new, unique beans. Just within the past couple months, I've gotten excellent Kenyan and Rwandan varieties that aren't in his typical rotation. Usually we'll just ask "what's good today" and they'll recommend something. We often order online - they'll roast to order, and have it ready for pickup. The inside is spacious and has a "mountain industrial" vibe, with a wood-burning stove, and lots of coffee gear. It reminds me of how Boone was when I was young. In the back corner is a line of best-in-class Tone Swiss machines to make perfect, consistent cups. They also sell a few muffins, bagels, quiche, and some local [frozen] meats, but coffee and good conversation are the main events."
"We visited up here from Charlotte and stopped by for a quick cup. I didn't expect the coffee to be so good. Probably the best pour over I've had in north Carolina. Staff were super sweet and they constantly roast coffee so it's a great place to hang out"
"Highly recommend this coffee shop!! Drink recommendation was spot on and we absolutely loved the personality behind the counter :) we will be back for sure"
