What People Are Saying
from Google"I recently had an opportunity to have a delicious meal at Angelina’s Cafe in Burlington, NC courtesy of Yelp. The restaurant is clean, large, and welcoming. It has accessible parking, seating, and restrooms. In addition to an extensive food menu, Angelina’s also offers a range of desserts and alcoholic beverages. This was my first time eating here, so I enjoyed getting such excellent service. Moses was extremely helpful in guiding me towards selecting my order. With his help, I ordered a ribeye which came with side salad and two sides. It was a lot of food! I also added a strawberry crepe that the restaurant is famous for. I enjoyed watching my crepe being made fresh and I couldn’t wait to get home and taste everything. My food was so delicious! Everything was fresh and seasoned well, and that was the best crepe I have ever tasted. I highly recommend Angelina’s in Burlington, NC. When you go by, try a crepe. Don’t forget to tell them Kindra Speech sent ya!"
"The restaurant was very busy when we arrived at around 11:00 a.m. on a Saturday. We opted to not wait for a table and dine at the bar. Everything came out quickly, service was great, and portion sizes were huge. We've had crepes at two other locations in the area and these were by far the largest for an equivalent price. I love that they offer flavors for the lattes. This is a great option for us because I like breakfast food and my partner likes lunch food and you can order either in the morning."
"Yes! Food very delicious, hot and fresh. Presented well and did not take long to be served. Very flavorful and the user of real butter is definitely a plus. Service was on point. Andrew, I give you five stars alone. Thanks for your great service and attending to our table. Never had to flag anyone down and they were very kind and courteous. The atmosphere was quite unique, but modern. Clean restaurant and restrooms."
"Angelina Café offers a warm, family-oriented atmosphere that immediately feels inviting. The service follows suit—friendly, attentive, and one of the high points of the visit. It’s also a solid spot to enjoy a mimosa as long as you already have a full stomach. But once we get to the food… things take a turn. 🍽️ Food Review Fried Green Tomatoes A Southern classic can shine when done correctly. Unfortunately, these fell short. The tomatoes were gritty from the cornmeal and paired with pimento cheese and a sweet relish that didn’t make sense on the plate. Rather than elevating the dish, the relish made the flavors clash and left the tomatoes tasting off. Chipotle Black Bean Veggie Burger This was the low point of the meal. The patty tasted prepackaged and freezer-burnt, and the use of plastic-wrapped sliced cheese instead of freshly grated cheese made an already weak dish even more disappointing. A clear shortcut—and it showed. Crab Sandwich An interesting idea, but the execution didn’t quite land. Honestly, the bread didn’t add anything and might have been better left out entirely. Grits Sadly, these were made “for the trash.” Undercooked, gritty, and lacking the slow-cooked love good grits require. A proper batch needs chicken broth, patience, low heat, and time to break down into creamy perfection. These grits had none of that. ✨ Overall Angelina Café has charm, warm service, and a welcoming vibe. Unfortunately, the food simply didn’t match the quality of the atmosphere. Between poorly executed classics and shortcuts in preparation, the meal was more miss than hit. I wouldn’t return."
"First time here and it was great. The latte was pure perfection, the breakfast sandwich had the perfect avocado, bacon, egg and tomatoes to bread ratio. The steak and eggs were a little underwhelming with lack of seasoning, but the flakey, soft biscuit more than made up for it! And let’s not leave out those perfectly seasoned and cooked potatoes.."
