What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"The service was… present. Not rude, not warm—just there. The grab-and-go selection was exactly what you’d expect from a hotel coffee nook: functional and forgettable. I grabbed a bagel that was perfectly fine in that “hotel lobby breakfast before a conference” kind of way. If you need caffeine and carbs in a hurry, it’ll do the trick—but don’t expect to be inspired."
"I’m a guest at the Westin and had an unfortunate experience with Smret, the barista at the in-house coffee shop. I simply asked for a plain bagel, not toasted, with cream cheese. A guest in front of me completed her transaction at 7:08, and I was next in line. Smret even asked if I wanted my bagel toasted — which clearly signaled we were mid-order — only to abruptly say she was closed and to ask the Westin to bill me instead (despite the fact that the hotel doesn’t own the shop). When I returned to clarify, she gave a flimsy explanation that the woman before me was a hotel guest and “grabbed her food from upstairs,” despite the 7:08 timestamp proving the payment was made just seconds before my turn. If the café was closed, a simple “we’re closed” up front would’ve been respectful and sufficient. Instead, I was left confused, dismissed, and ultimately without service — as a paying guest of the hotel. Disheartening and frustrating to be treated so dismissively over such a basic request. I hope this behavior is addressed for future guests."
