"Went when they were first newly open, so some hiccups with yhe service. The outside was slammed, and only 1 server, so we moved inside, and it was a way better experience. Our waiter person was very talkative and nice and super duper funny! The food hit all points for an Irish-style pub and food fare. Appetizers were fried and good. Not greasy! The cheese leprechaun balls were great, and the sausage rolls were good. I dont have it pictured, but I got the fish sandwich and it was delicious! Fried golden brown, crispy, and hot! Would visit again and try other options easily!"

"McHale’s Irish Bar in NoDa is my new happy place. The Irish eggrolls were amazing — crispy, savory, and downright addictive. The Leprechaun Balls (yes, that’s really what they’re called) were also absolutely delicious and way more charming than the name suggests. The McHale’s burger? Juicy perfection. The French fries? So crisp and golden they could win a beauty pageant. And the fish and chips were outstanding — almost Ireland quality, which is saying something for this side of the Atlantic. But the real star of the night was Alice, our server. She was friendly and seemed to have some kind of sixth sense for when we needed refills or extra ketchup. If you’re looking for a place with fantastic food, a cozy atmosphere, and service that makes you feel like a regular on your first visit, McHale’s is the spot. Just don’t eat all the Leprechaun Balls before I get there."

"McHale’s is an absolute gem with the best vibes and some great Irish pub food. Our server Bethany was literally phenomenal. Super friendly, attentive, and made us feel like regulars from the moment we walked in. She had great suggestions and kept things going smoothly. Can’t wait to come back again and grab another pint and a spice bag."

"We had a great experience tonight at McHales! The ambiance was INCREDIBLE. We have frequented Charlotte quite a bit (my husband is a musician) and we are so happy to have a new favorite go-to place. The place was decorated beautifully for Christmas! We felt like we were transported back in time as they were playing old school Christmas music. My husband had a burger (it was a smash burger with Marie rose sauce, bacon jam, and crispy potatoes) and he could not stop saying that it was the best burger he had ever had! He is picky so this is super high praise. I had the potato leek soup, and a salad. The soup was everything you want for comfort on a cold day. The service was great, Ashton(?) took great care of us and was very attentive. 10/10 we will be back!"

"This place was all the vibes and a perfect spot to chill and enjoy a few pints of Guinness. The food was fantastic (get the fish and chips!!!) and we loved that you have three unique areas to hang out and enjoy the day in. And everyone that woeked there was always super friendly and it never took long to get a drink. The variety of the drink options was great because my fiance isn't a big Guinness person, was happy to have an Irish Cider or some Swithwicks instead."
