from Google"We are staying the night in Charlotte and we’re looking for a place close to out hotel with good soup. My wife and I ordered thr tomato soup and it was fantastic. Honestly it was probably the best tomato soup I’ve ever had. My wife agrees. I also had the NC trout and split collared greens with my wife. Both were very good. We split a scoop of gelato for dessert. The restaurant is cozy, we walked in downstairs through the bar but decided to be seated upstairs. We will definitely be back the next time we come to visit Charlotte."
"We had a delicious Sunday lunch here. The frites (fries), onion rings, Mac & cheese and succotash were amazing as was the coconut cake and chocolate torte!!!! The cheeseburger was tasty but hard to eat as it was so big. The chicken salad sandwich also v good. Hubs said the steak frites was slightly overcooked. Great ambiance & our waiter Ryan was awesome! Highly recommend!! 😍"
"Food was excellent and the entire staff was exceptionally friendly. The decor was unique and cool and the place had a nice vibe. It has a classy more upscale feel while still remaining casual. Felix was a great server and I highly recommend the tomato soup. Worth the visit."

"Wow!! We are visiting Charlotte for the Dukes Mayo Bowl and wanted to find a restaurant close to the Marriott to celebrate my birthday. We made a reservation here and were promptly seated even though we arrived a bit early. There’s a spot in the reservation site to choose the occasion for our visit, which we did. Our server was Terron. He was fantastic, and explained the ala carte menu to us, as well as gave suggestions for what he thought we’d enjoy. We first ordered our cocktails: a Heat of the Moment for Mr Wonderful, and an I’ve Got My Orange Crush for me. Both were a great start to the visit. After bringing us crusty, chewy homemade bread, olive oil and balsamic, Terron took our food orders. We ordered the Little Gem to start. This was a beautiful salad with pickled red onion, Nueske’s bacon (we loved seeing this because we’re from Wisconsin, where it’s made), tomatoes and Roquefort dressing. This was more than enough for the two of us to share, and they even put it on separate plates for us. For an entree, I ordered the grilled salmon with cucumber slaw and dilled yogurt, well done. MW ordered the rotisserie BBQ half chicken. We ordered the au gratin potatoes to share. Everything was perfect. The salmon was very flavorful and not at all dried out. The chicken was juicy and tender. But the star of the show was those au gratin potatoes. They were baked in a crock, and we couldn’t even finish them all! Then Terron brought the dessert menu and told me that whatever I chose was on the house. I can’t recall the exact name, but it was a chocolate-raspberry-chantilly cream concoction with a chocolate sponge cake crust. What a dinner! I have to say that Terron really outdid himself. I was even given a signed birthday card before we left. The service, food and atmosphere were second to none. We left with a lighter wallet, but it was well worth it."
