from Google"Sophia’s Lounge is a whole vibe! ✨ Caught a show at the Belk Theater and headed over to Sophia’s Lounge after. It was the perfect way to end the evening. The lounge was a whole vibe—the decor and atmosphere created such a pleasant, upscale energy. Even for a late Saturday night, it was busy but didn't feel overcrowded. We only had about a seven-minute wait at the door. The staff, from the host to the waitresses, were incredibly pleasant. I especially loved the "unconventional" aesthetic of the furniture; nothing technically matches, yet it all flows together perfectly. We sampled a bit of everything: Food: The Sophia’s Triple Sliders were delicious, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Dessert: The Cookie Skillet was a standout—absolutely delicious and a must-order. Drinks: Sophia’s is known for their cocktails, but surprisingly, this was the least memorable part of the night for me. I can’t recall the name of the drink, but I did love that it was served in a copper mule mug. As is typical for Uptown, it isn't cheap, but it is well worth the visit. This is definitely on my list of places to return to!"
"Think of it as a gift your parents gave you with pretty wrapping paper, but not even close to what you wanted. I heard many great things about Sophia's Lounge inside the Ivey Hotel Uptown. Upon entry the hostess was very friendly but after seating everything went on a steady decline. It took our server multiple times if passing us, both with the notion of being in the middle of dealing with running items for other guests but also busy work of walking around everywhere before coming to us. The decor was nice very eccentric but the music definitely did not match the atmosphere. Think forever 21, but you're sitting in your great aunts fancy home. Confusing. We finally got our orders taken and it was a nice wait for them to arrive. We never received silverware from the actual server and when we asked the person that brought the food out, they did not seem too happy with the request for some. My steak arrived before my boyfriend's sliders. My steak was very seasoned, the cook was to be medium. Out of the two steaks, only one was the actual temp. Fries were good. For our drinks I got the espresso martini and he got the Long Island. I will say that Long Island was extremely refreshing and you could tell it was in house sweet and sour, but my Espresso martini fell short. Very underwhelming, barely taste the coffee and it fell flat for me. The sliders were okay for me, I wasn't a huge fan of the bacon jam but my boyfriend liked it. The price in the end did not match the experience."
"From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a lovely, professional woman (Ashley)…she was so sweet, made us feel right at home with her smile and kindness. She showed us to our table, and was quick to get us situated and get drinks on order. Thing is about Sharon’s Lounge, it’s not a full restaurant, but has exquisite small bites…and most importantly, you feel like you are at home with a personal assistant getting you exactly what you want. I would give the atmosphere a perfect 10, gotta check it out to understand the sense of home that you feel, the service was another perfect 10; couldn’t ask for anything else. The food we ordered was also very good. Portions were in order, quality of the cheese, meats, fish were all perfectly fresh. Look at the pictures, judge for yourself. Also, if you didn’t want to park, they also offered a valet service which was perfect as well. Updated Christmas holiday decorations and video…gotta try this place before heading to the Carolina Theatre."
"Atmosphere is amongst the best in Charlotte, it has cozy speakeasy vibes and the cocktails are superb. The sliders were okay but the chicken and waffles were awesome! Breakfast was good as well, the smoothies were particularly delicious 😋"
"I had my 60th Birthday 🎊 🎉🎁 celebration in a private room, the Library Lounge, amazing is an understatement; it was just FABULOUS!!! The decor was top tier; a big shout out to Kyle. Kyle’s gifts and talents are unmatched. When I say it Wowed me, it left me speechless. From the planner, Marissa, who walked me through the process, step by step, to the bar tender, Kelly, and the rest of the staff that were so personable, attentive, and welcoming. My guest was very pleased. About the food…it was scrumptiously delicious! The Chef did a fantastic job. I had the Southern Journey, Buffett style. The deserts, key lime pie and the chocolate layered, toffee cake was a dream. I stayed at the Ivey hotel for the night in the Executive Suite; just Wow!!! It was exquisite, a weekend to remember. From the time I walked through the hotel doors to confirm my stay, the staff was like no other. Let me not forget the gentleman who was in charge of Valet Parking, he was so very charming and welcoming. A big thank you to Christy for escorting us to the Library Lounge for my celebration, I just loved her attentiveness and bubbly personality. I highly recommend this establishment. A night to remember! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! 💕💕💕 Yvette"
