"Came in early, meet with awesome smells. Friendly and busy staff, cool too see through the honeycomb window at their people prepping baked items for the day. Snagged a breakfast sandwich today, it was great indeed."

"The cinnamon rolls were gone by 11am. Went with a snickerdoodle muffin and it was hard and dry but the flavor was good. Not sure if they can warm them up but they didn’t ask. My hot chocolate was great. The staff were friendly, although I wish they were more interactive and gave suggestions like other coffee places especially since this was my first visit. I loved the dining area but all the seats had crumbs and others didn’t appear that staff walks through to wipe down tables in between customers. Parking was difficult to find. I’d like to try one more time to see how I really feel about this place, hopefully next time is a 5 start experience but I don’t know."

"I don’t understand how this is a “ Bakery “ But all the pastries and baked goods be hard as a ROCK. Who’s ever the head of this location needs to check that out . It’s so disappointing that the desserts are so dry but also lack flavor . Another issue is Sunflower opens around 7am and are out of most items by 10am. The only reason they are still in business is because they are so convenient in this neighborhood. If you want to choke on dry food this is the place to go! 1. “Chewy” cookie - hit or miss /dry or burnt. 2. Vegan cookies - hard as a rock has a flour taste 3. Vanilla Sugar Roll - nothing special tastes like bread with sugar. 4.Cinnamon Rolls- are ok tho can be extremely dry! 5. Cheddar Biscuits -to dry for me 6.Croissants -angers me not buttery and flakey! 7.Muffin -😒 not even going to waste my time 8. Chicken salad 5/10 could be a ten if they didn’t add grapes in the mix 9.Tuna salad- 6/10 a little dry needs extra mayo 10. Cheese cake - nothing special lacks flavor 11. Scones - Can be used as rocks if you have someone you dislike buy them a scone ! To sum this up just save yourself money and get a sandwich and coffee. They don’t have the pastries part down yet ."

"We stopped in and tried a couple cookies. My snickerdoodle cookie was hard as a rock and tasted like cardboard. Wife had a peanut butter cookie that was passable but not that great. If this is indicative of the overall quality of food here I’d say pass this place and go somewhere else. I guess I expected their baked goods to be, well, fresh."

"I live in the neighborhood and I really like the food and drinks at Sunflower, but every time I go I leave more frustrated than the last. The service here is incredibly slow. Two reasons I think 1) they are understaffed a lot (not always), so you have one person trying to take orders and grab pastries / prep drinks all at once… and 2) they do an insane door dash business so it seems when you are a walk in order you have to wait 30 minutes for a drink because there are so many “people” in front of you (I.e, door dash orders). I want to love this place, but I’ve never walked out with a drink and pastry in under 30 minutes. Update: I went back again and it took 1hr to get a matcha latte. At that point it’s on me for trying."
