"The Wooden Robot Coffee Bar is such a gem in Charlotte! The customer service is outstanding — friendly, attentive, and full of positive energy that makes you feel right at home. The vibe is relaxed and upbeat, perfect for catching up with friends, getting some work done, or simply enjoying a great cup of coffee. Speaking of coffee — it’s excellent. Smooth, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Their breakfast sandwiches are delicious and satisfying, but the banana nut breakfast muffins deserve a special shout-out. They are absolutely incredible — soft, flavorful, and truly irresistible. This place delivers on quality, atmosphere, and service every single time. I’ll definitely be back again and again!"

"Hidden treasure!! No way would I have expected coffee this good from a coffee brewery spin off. I had the pour over John Jairo Gomez with steamed milk and it was so smooth. It was soo good that I sipped to savor the flavors and smoothness. The atmosphere is chill and if I had time I would have sat down and chilled."

"We stopped in for coffee yesterday after seeing so many positive reviews, but unfortunately our experience didn’t come close to what we expected. My husband and I each ordered an iced latte. I chose the seasonal flavor and he ordered caramel. The woman behind the counter came across as borderline rude, which I tried to brush off because everyone has off days. She was very precise in measuring and weighing the flavoring, which I appreciated, but the espresso pour was extremely small, maybe a single shot at best, and the rest of the cup was filled with milk and a splash of ice. Both drinks tasted like flavored milk rather than actual lattes. On top of that, both cups had a gritty layer at the bottom, not spices, which made the drinks even harder to finish. Actually, I didn't even come close to finishing mine. Our total for the two drinks was almost $14 before tip, which made the quality even more disappointing. I rarely write negative reviews, but this was bad enough, and expensive enough, to warrant it. It really feels like the Wooden Robot name might be carrying more weight than the product itself. Unfortunately, we definitely won’t be returning. I’m glad others have had good experiences, but ours was not one of them."

"Wonderful coffee and vibe. As of Jan 2025 they use an Ethiopian bean from Isle roasters from Conn. Great extraction on the cappuccino and overall service. The use of the brewery space for day coffee drinking makes for a unique setting and certainly one of my top cafes in Charlotte along the likes of Hex and Hobbyist."
