from Google"I visited Zanziber Café for the first time around 12:30. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, and it’s a seat-yourself setup, which I liked. The customer service was really good, and the food came out pretty quickly. I ordered the Palava sauce with white rice and fried fish. The food was seasoned excellent — full of flavor and cooked just right. My only critique is the rice — it tasted like Uncle Ben’s, and I would’ve preferred Jasmine rice instead. The ginger drink was perfect — refreshing and had the right kick. I’ll definitely be going back to try a few more items and will update my review then! "The food was great. We had the egusi with fufu and the okra soup with rice. If you are looking for a great place to dine that offers authentic African food, it’s worth stopping by to grab a bite to eat."
"This was my first time coming here, as I am new to the city and found this spot on TikTok. I ordered the Palm Soup and the potato greens. I originally wanted to dine in, but due to the long wait I decided to take my order to go. When I got home, one of the dishes was missing from the bag and it was the one I really was craving. So I called the restaurant and let them know the situation and the response was a game changer! They did just apologize and take my name like most places do when something is missing, but they went over, above, and beyond!! The lady at the front counter and the lady who was serving tables personal delivered the missing dish to my house!!!! I was definitely won over and at that point the wait time no longer mattered, but the customer service was absolutely top tier and I return again and again and again. Thank you so much for an awesome first experience! Oh and the food was sooo good, I forgot to take pictures lol"
"This was the most amazing African food that we’ve had in Charlotte and we will most definitely be back. I highly recommend this restaurant. I had potato greens and rice and my daughter had cassava leaves and fufu. Zanzibar Café has excellent customer service, friendly atmosphere and clean environment."
