"Woo hoo first review of the coffee! Tried Luis Serna Caturra this morning (second brew attempt, first was botched from my grind settings being off) doing a pour over using a smidge less water. Impressions: Smooth, bright, sits light on the tongue with a pleasant after taste. Notes of lemon grass yes slightly astringent. Sips bring out best notes not to be chugged. This seems to be a higher quality varietal Colombian than typical? Interestingly note on the bag recommends 7 to 12 days before grinding (this was roasted 6/28) so perhaps it's in peak flavor. Overall very satisfied and if just a smidge cheaper would be an obvious 🏆."
