A great space to set up and work on your computer or meet with friends and business people here. "Mattie Ruth’s in Concord, north of Charlotte has the kind of interior that instantly lifts your mood. It feels modern yet cozy, with a touch of whimsy. The Audrey Hepburn quote on the wall adds charm, and there’s even a stuffed lynx perched on top of a cabinet, gazing into the distance as if guarding the espresso machine. It’s a space that clearly cares about aesthetic details and feels both chic and inviting. The coffee, however, didn’t quite live up to the promise of the setting. We tried the dirty chai latte and the flat white; both were fine but fairly average, lacking the richness or depth you might expect from a café that looks this refined. Nothing was bad, but nothing stood out either. Still, if you’re in downtown Concord and want a calm, well-designed spot to sit with a book or catch up with a friend, Mattie Ruth’s is worth a visit. Just don’t go in expecting a memorable coffee experience. Parking is available outside."
"Lovely atmosphere, free wifi, cozy seats, and decent coffee. I went for an iced caramel latte and it was pretty good. In all, if you come when there are seats available then you'll be in for a nice spot to sip, hang out, or study."
"Such a cute place! If you order your coffee for "here," it's like you're at home. Your coffee comes in their big mugs and the designs are beautiful. It makes my heart so happy to see the designs because it makes me feel like it was made with love. Their seating is like being at Grammas and there are separate areas of seating with older furniture and antique-like decor. The only reason for 4 stars versus 5 is the coffee wasn't hot at all. But maybe I'll try again and ask for Xtra hot."
