"Great use of a venue. Simple seating with basic chairs set up for the performance. Don't expect luxury. The entire experience is dependent on the activity. The performers served the drinks, seated the guests and took the tickets. Missy Lane just provided the space."

"What an embarrassing disappointment! We read all of the negative reviews detailing how this place was a scam. Not holding reservations etc. But what we experienced was far worse…. We came across Missy Lanes’ Destinations: New Orleans event and thought it would be fun. We live approx 2 hours away from Raleigh and was making a special first time visit. We paid the $20 reservation fee which was supposed to reserve us a “table for 2 in the bar”. Concerned about all of the negative feedback- specifically for not holding reservations, I called the day before to confirm we indeed had a reservation. I asked about the live music which was advertised. The nice gentleman. Confirmed we would have a table for two and could see the musicians from our table. All was good. We drove 2 hours to attend the event. When I arrived, the place was completely empty. Please see pic. There was not a table in sight, so I was confused. We were seated at the bar- which is not what I expected, but was acceptable if that was the best that was available. The music was suposed to start at 7:00. See event advertisement. I sat down; ordered a drink and an appetizer. 7:15 came around, and there was no music. And no other guests. I could tell we had made a big mistake. I asked the bar tender what time the musicians would start- and she informed me there were no live music scheduled for that night. Even though they advertised there would be. There was no DJ. Not even music playing over speakers. We had no choice but to leave and go somewhere else after making a long drive. This place is a SCAM and will not be open in a year. Buyer Beware."

"Went last week for Tito Puente Jr.'s show. Absolutely amazing venue! Truly an intimate experience with music! The staff is superb! The drink variety is fantastic! Great place to spend your night!"

"Pretty poor experience. I went to see Madison McFerrin for my birthday. Took forever to even get a menu to see what drinks they offered. Never got to order food, but I did get TWO drinks around $14-15 each. There was a drink spilled on my friend and we didn’t even get them until the very last song was being performed. ON TOP OF THAT the server had the nerve to add an $20 tip on for themselves, quickly letting me know the tip was included as he rushed me through the payment process. He was having constant issues with the card reader and finding our table/tickets in the system. Everything was so chaotic and the servers were constantly walking right in front of the stage as she performed. They seem so disorganized. There’s no reason I should have been charged $56.00 for two drinks. If anything, they should have been offering something for the inconvenience and for spilling the drink. And truthfully… Madison McFerrin deserved better too."

"Missy Lane's is a straight vibe! I have attended private events here before but came to weekend brunch for the first time yesterday. It felt amazing to be in the space with the DJ spinning all faves and classics from the 80s and 90s (think Chaka, D'Angelo, Badu). The food was great. I had cheese grits, fried eggs, bacon, and orange juice. Perfect! I can see doing this at least 2-3x a month. Maybe I'll see you there, too."
