"I love Roses noodles. It’s a staple local Durham joint serving exceptionally warm and cozy food. The flavor on their broths are always excellent - thick and savory homemade noodles. My favorite are their belt noodles - best I ever had. Love the bar style seating. Only true locals appreciate this place for what it is, and it hits the spot every time. No other place does baked pastries with home made noodles so well together. They’ve perfected the formula of the food they serve - 10 out of 10 every time."

"TLDR: Dessert is great. Food is really really salty. Me and my boyfriend tried 6 items here in total. The pork bun, the roasted chicken spring rolls, chicken belt noodle, vegetarian belt noodles, passionfruit tres leches and the apple cider mochi cake. If I'm being honest, I would only ever come back here for the bakery. Everybody needs to try their passionfruit tres leches! It's literally the best cake I have eaten in a long time! The apple cider mochi cake has good texture, flavor is alright. Onto the 2 belt noodles dishes, noodles and vegetable texture are great, but they are so salty to the point of inedible. Like they dropped a package of salt and then added ocean water on top of yhem salty. If I had two kidneys working properly before eating their noodles, now I have one - and even that one is on overdrive. Seriously, I paid 40$ for these noodles, do better!"

"This is a cute restaurant/bakery! The seating situation is a bit confusing if you've never been there. It you want to sit inside, sit at one of the open tables and the server will come take your order. If sitting outside I think you have to order at the cashier and then take a number outside with you. The food came out within a reasonable time period. I got the pork/mushroom ramen. It's good, but definitely different than ramen you'd have in Japan. It doesn't have that traditional miso flavor. But I was impressed with the soft boiled egg! It was perfection."

"Ehh. The dumplings were super tasty However we saw that our food arrived another table first , then they took it back to our table after it was touched. Our drink was kinda forgotten It's a little hard to hear The noodle soup was good but so tangy The katsu sandwich was a bit bare but ok . Overcooked a little The lemon meringue pie was Great. Reservations are super recommended"

"This is a very unique place! The bakery is the highlight, their pastries and cakes are amazing. I especially loved the cinnamon carrot cake cheesecake and the passion fruit tres leches. I wasn’t as impressed with the savory foods here. The spring rolls were mostly filled with rice noodles, and the sandwich was good but overpriced and lacked structural integrity. Menu and baked goods seem to be constantly changing so it’s hard to know what you’ll get when you go, which is hard if you find a favorite dish that then disappears or prefer planning your meal, or it can be good if you like a surprise and variation and adventure. Staff are super nice."
