"A gem we've been eagerly awaiting in the heart of Gastonia!! We come at least once a week. My husband and I work from home primarily, and have been waiting for a solid coffee shop and remote work space to open in the Gastonia area. We would often trek to Charlotte to find places like this but finally we don't have to anymore!! Location & Facilities: In terms of pricing, Alchemy is only offering weekly/monthly/yearly rentals at the time of this review for desks and offices and the prices seemed reasonable. In terms of the offices/desks, they seem to meet all the needs any member would want. Desks include a sit/stand desk, a chair, a filing cabinet (that locks), and a small divider between other desks Offices come with up to 3 desks and everything desks come with. Also there are different kinds of offices. Some with exposed brick and others with drywall. We were told renters are allowed to decorate/furnish however they'd like! Both options come with access to conference rooms, phone booth rooms for private calls, free/discounted coffee, and podcast studio access. I am looking forward to the introduction a daily or hourly rate when it comes out, but for the meantime, the FREE work space at the front in the coffee shop area is fantastically priced (free and comfortable). We can easily work a few hours out front. Coffee is also very reasonably priced. ($10 for me and my husband and we both ordered large [16oz] coffees). Service Experience: The hallmark of our experience was undoubtedly the impeccable service. Hands down one of the best places I've ever been served coffee or otherwise. We were curious about the offices in the back and what they looked like, and the owner of Alchemy (who was making me my coffee!!) overheard me and graciously offered us a tour!! He took us back and his passion for the space was palpable as he told us about the history, vision, and pricing options all while genuinely engaging with us about our own backgrounds and aspirations. It was such a personal and generous experience. You can tell the staff here really care about the community and their customers. Atmosphere: Even though Alchemy is located in an old building with old bones, everything has been redone/remodeled. It feels fresh and clean inside. There is a bit of a steampunk aesthetic, with it's exposed brick walls and leather furnishings which has me caught between feeling both sophisticated/professional and also super chill. The inclusive vibe makes it seem like I could show up in shorts and a t-shirt just to grab a coffee or a royal-blue button-up suit to host a meeting. They make it easy to feel comfortable considering how they've fused classic charm and contemporary flair together here. Overall: Our first few experiences surpassed all expectations. We always leave eagerly anticipating our next visit. If you're in search of a workspace that seamlessly blends productivity with community, look no further. I can't wait to see how this business continues to flourish and positively impacts our community."

"We gather our entire team together to strategically plan each quarter and we used THE LAB for our Q4 team meeting. This place is awesome and so nicely put together while still keeping the nostalgia of the original design. Having The Wandering Cup in-house is icing on the cake. 10/10 recommend for your business or even if you are just starting out and looking for a place to call home! Definitely give this a look!"
