What People Are Saying
from Google"A city can be judged by its bagel shop. We found Bagelman on our weekend visit. Met the friendly co-owner and can tell it’s a local favorite for breakfast and homemade baked goods. Staff is friendly and greets you with a smile. Non-locals, like us, were welcomed. We went two days in a row for breakfast- although they have lunch paninis, melts, wraps and soups as well. We Utilized the self-order kiosk one day and the second day ordered at the register. My husband raves about the dark rye pumpernickel bagels. I enjoyed a sesame bagel and avocado toast topping the second day. A Large selection of bottled drink options, flavored cream cheeses, egg salads and fresh cut fruit cups in the self serve display. They have fountain drinks and a variety of coffees and speciality drinks. A News article hangs in the dining area and describes the sourcing of New York Pastrami for their Rubens. Can’t wait to try that on our next visit."
"got the build your own breakfast. Very good, got cheddar and bacon on my bagel- the eggs were cooked beautifully!"
"After running a Ragnar trail race all weekend my partner always wants a Pork Roll, egg and cheese on an everything bagel. Sadly not something I thought we could get her now that she lives in NC. We grew up in central NJ and are mildly judgemental about our Bagels and Bagel sandwiches. Bagelman is spot on, 100% recommend. We drove down from Rocky Mount just to try it and will be back, often."
"This is the worse I've ever seen this store. Its gone way downhill. Made an online order. 20 minutes before I got there. Waited over 30 minutes inside the store for 2 toasted ice cold bagels. The store was disorganized, the guy doing the running brought my bag out but never called my name, he checked with people waiting except me. I watched so me people getting their wrong or incomplete orders. My food was ice cold when I finally got it. Its like the employees didnt care at all this morning. So many people left that store mad, and im one of them. This was garbage."
"I was visiting Greenville from Charlottesville, VA, and saw that there was a well-rated bagel place nearby, Bagelman. I was pleased with the prices and the variety of options for your order. I ordered a simple egg bagel sandwich with mayo. Waited about 20 minutes for my food when the store was not busy at all. For one egg bagel sandwich with mayo. That was pretty frustrating. When my order came out, it was if they had pooled a few small orders together and waited until they reached a critical mass before coming out and calling out names for the orders. I wish they had simply brought out my order as soon as it was ready- if that was even what the hold up was. The egg bagel sandwich with mayo: The sesame bagel was cold, and rather stiff. The egg was hardly scrambled (lots of white still) and pretty flavorless (even with added salt and pepper). Worst of all was that there was hardly any mayo on my sandwich at all. It was bizarre. It was such a small amount that I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference if there was no mayo at all. Overall very disappointed with the experience, and seeing that there have been recent reviews also telling of their long wait times, I genuinely hope the owner starts cracking down on why the orders take so long to make."
