"Let me first start by saying that I would love to be able to visit the actual roastery someday to see the process but, I know it probably doesn’t give tours. This review isn’t about a cafe. It is about the coffee beans themselves from this Roastery. I picked up some of their coffee beans for the first time at a local comic book store/cafe. I wanted to give Joe Van Gogh a shout out because I thoroughly enjoyed their coffee. I love to make fresh pour over coffee at home and making a cup of their Moonlight Organic Mocha Blend was a delight. I loved the earthy and cocoa notes that I tasted and also did get a small hint of fruit as well. It wasn’t too bold but was just bold enough and was smooth. It is a Medium-Dark blend coffee. I usually prefer the Light-Medium roasts but this was a pleasant surprise for me. I’m going to try the French press method tomorrow and I’m sure it will be just as good. I can’t wait to try more of this small business brand!"
