What People Are Saying
from Google"Innescas Sweets of Europe in Matthews is a fun, Instagram-worthy stop that went viral for its beautiful fruit-shaped desserts. Visually, they absolutely live up to the hype. The space feels European and upscale, but it’s small with limited seating. The service is friendly and welcoming, which helps the overall experience. However, the pricing is hard to ignore — both desserts I ordered were almost $11 each, and while you can’t tell from photos, they’re only about 2½–3 inches wide and roughly 2 inches tall. They taste good, but not quite to the level you’d expect for that price point. Overall, it’s worth visiting once for the experience and photos, but more of a splurge than a regular dessert stop."
"Cute, small little bakery tucked away in Matthews, NC. Ukraine owned business. Beautiful stylish pastries and boujee coffee lattes and cold foams. Presentation of drinks is so pretty. This place is packed during weekends since it is next door to a brewery and the farmers market. Recommend going on a weekday. Kitchen walls have clear walls and people wearing chef coats like they are in a lab. Feels and looks like a little taste of Europe."
"We enjoyed the beautiful presentation of the sweets and strawberry matcha, and they were delicious! The “mango” shell was a little hard to crack open; proceed with caution so it doesn’t slip off your plate in the process (lol). We enjoyed it. The strawberry preserve in the bottom of the matcha was a little too sweet, but the matcha quality was great!"
"I have been wanting to try this place since it opened. I went on a Sunday morning. There was a line out the door, but the wait wasn’t too bad. They had so many different pastries and drinks to choose from. I ended up getting a pumpkin pecan tart and the tiramisu latte. Both items were great. The iced latte tasted just like tiramisu and it wasn’t watered down. The pumpkin pecan tarte had the perfect amount of sweetness and was just the right size. The staff were Nice and managed to get orders out quickly. I do wish that there were more seating options available . The inside is very tight and due to the long lines it is hard to move around. I did manage to get a table outside which was nice. I was confused that some people got their orders in glassware and plates. I said for here and I got mine in takeout containers. The last thing was that the food and beverage were good, but they were a bit on the expensive side, my order was $16. I would definitely recommend people trying this place. I don’t think I would come back a lot though, due to the price and limited seating options."
"The interior is very beautiful. We were there on a wed around 130, it was clean, no wait and everything available. Staff was friendly and nice. They make house made syrups but this place is way OVERPRICED! And i thought Chez Marie was expensive!! the fruit mouse cakes are $14.50 which I understand take a lot of time and craft. Everything is made fresh and not mass produced and I get that but it doesn't live up to the price and quality! The mousse cake was really sweet. American sweet, not a European sweetness level. I was surprised that the mousse cake was covered in a white chocolate layer. Which tasted bad, cheap and oily. We took it off to at least eat the inside but that was too sweet on its own, good thing we had a latte. The latte had a slight burnt flavor but still smooth and drinkable (but no latte art). At the bottom of the cup there were espresso grinds which isn't a good sign (keep in mind the price). Overall if you want to try something new, pricey and trendy go for it , but I wouldn't return for the price and taste. Chez Marie is more affordable and has a more European sweetness level."
