What People Are Saying
from Google"So upset that this place is closing. The food was amazing especially the Carolina reaper eggs Benedict. One of the few places that still has Cheerwine available too! The fried green tomatoes with the sauce were good, the batter was on the drier side."
"I love this place! I got the chicken biscuit with a side of fries and their amazing garlic aioli sauce. And I had to get their famous Pimento Mac and cheese. I usually don’t like pimento cheese but theirs is amazing and not too overpowering. I was with a party of 4 and we only had like 20 min wait during the lunch hour on a Saturday. The biscuit was HUGE and I happily took leftovers home. Will definitely be back because I’m already craving it again."
"I’ve been to Beasley’s a gazillion times and every time I have an even better experience. This is my favorite brunch spot in Raleigh and my favorite dinner spot and it is the best place to find fried chicken with a consistent taste by far! The chicken flavor is so original to the point where I’m craving it on random occasions. This last visit me and my husband sat at the bar and we had Josh as a waiter/bartender and he was phenomenal! Like seriously 12/10 would recommend if you’ve never been to Beasley’s!"
"When I got the email from AC Restaurants that Beasley's last day open would be January 25th. I knew I had to make at least one more trip there. Beasley's still draws a line wrapped around the building before it opens. They have regular menus now instead of the chalkboard menu. Stools are still the norm, though, rather than chairs. The restaurant has seating at the bar and tables. They don't seem to want folks to linger. They take reservations for dinner now, just not brunch. They were not enforcing the whole party being there to get seated on my visit. When I first started dining at Beasley's, the community table was prominent. I think the table went away during COVID but I still remember it. Street parking or the Moore Square garage are the best options to park, as the garage is just next door. I planned on ordering the chicken pot pie, but was told they were out. However, from what I could gather, they likely won't be available again. There were quite a few items unavailable, which was disappointing, especially since I was there when they opened. The restaurant gets noisy when it fills up. The kitchen seemed to get backed up. I ordered soon after I arrived, as did a few other tables, and we were the only tables with food while the rest were still waiting. I went with the fried chicken and waffle and got sweet potatoes as well. Then I wanted the brownie dessert, but they didn't have any brownies, so I got the banana pudding to go. I liked the boneless thigh and liked that I could select which cut I wanted to order. I liked the chicken and the waffle it just wasn't what I had wanted. The sweet potatoes tasted like normal sweet potatoes to me. I had read about the twice baked made them so much better. Service was good and she checked in often and refiilled my tea. I wasn't charged for a second glass like I was at Poole'side Pizza. The restroom was not clean, so that is important, and there was just a hand dryer, not paper towels. If the chicken pot pie is available, I will return for another visit before the restaurant closes."
"Came here for the Billie concert. Was my meal before the show. Flew from Indiana. Got deviled eggs. They were as expected. Got Mac n cheese, was not a fan. The chicken was good. Had better, but it was moist, crispy and season was nice. It was missing something though. Hit the spot nonetheless."
