from Google & Yelp"We came from Raleigh to visit this coffee shop. I had seen videos on social media and decided to give it a try. It’s definitely one of the better coffee shops that we’ve visited in Wake County. It is a nice open space that is very comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The coffee was excellent. I had a brown sugar latte. The coffee had a great flavor and the syrup wasn’t overly sweet. I would definitely return."
"If you're looking for a friendly, cozy, welcoming coffee shop that also will deliver consistently high quality beverages, food, and service, Parallax is your place to go. As a judge for national coffee competitions, I tend to have a high standard for coffee shops. Yet I have been blown away by the consistency, intentionality, and quality provided by Parallax on each of my trips. Quality: Parallax brews using beans provided by local-favorite (and personal-favorite) Black & White Coffee Roasters, setting an excellent foundation for the quality level of their beverages. But coffee is only as good as the baristas brewing. Thankfully, Parallax's baristas are knowledgable and skilled, highlighting the best qualities in each coffee they brew. This is especially noticable in their drip coffee and espresso-forward beverages; in fact, the very first drink I had from Parallax was one of the best flat whites I have had in a very long time (brewed by Matthew). On another visit, I snagged a black drip coffee before a long road trip and genuinely savored every drop on my drive. But their creativity really shines in their speciality beverage offerings. Parallax's seasonal menus have included offerings like a miso cherry matcha and a stonefruit espresso tonic, each of which offered balance and complexity in a unique beverage that I couldn't get anywhere else. Service: It's rare to see a team of baristas as passionate, curious, and knowledgable about coffee as you find at Parallax. Across my trips to Parallax, I have observed the baristas brainstorming with each other, educating customers, and sharing their passions for coffee. I have consistently felt welcomed and have been blown away with the intentiveness and hospitality offered by their staff. Pam, in particular, is especially good at making me feel welcomed and acknowledged in the space. I have never had an encounter at Parallax that was anything less than stellar service. Athmosphere: With a wide range of seating options, ample outlets, spectacular cleanliness, and gorgeous design, you are guaranteed to feel comfortable here. And don't even get me started on the plants! I was genuinely blown away by the beauty and the health of the plants on display at Parallax. It almost feels like you're stepping into a greenhouse garden. The music choice is always spectacular and the volume never feels uncomfortably loud or awkwardly quiet. Overall, Parallax is one of my favorite shops that I've visted. I really appreciate the level of service provided by the staff and the quality and consistency of coffee found in each cup. Definitely one of my favorites, not only in Wendell or the triangle, but across the east coast."
"Parallax Coffee is an absolute gem in downtown Wendell. The seasonal menus are always thoughtful and creative, and the matcha tea is a standout every single time. 🍵✨ It’s right around the corner from our office, which makes it our go-to spot for a quick pick-me-up or a reset between busy days. Great coffee, great vibes, and the kind of energy that actually carries you through the day. Highly recommend if you’re local or just passing through."
"I’ve been all over the US and visited many coffee shops in many major cities and I can safely say Parallax is definitely in my top favorite and I’m so glad it’s local! Between the quality of the coffee, the exceptional service from Caesar and others I can definitely attest to the team’s dedication to the craft of serving brews and vibes! Thank you Parallax!"
"Wannabe coffee snob here. Very cute and eclectic little coffee shop in downtown Wendell. The vibe and decor are spot on and fit the aesthetic perfectly. Staff was warm and welcoming. Only downside is what I ordered, a cold brew coffee with sugar-free vanilla, had a funny aftertaste. I would not recommend the sugar-free syrup. Could not finish my drink."
