The canned pineapple and onion were added at the end of cooking, leaving the onion raw, which is very unpleasant to the palate and makes the mixture spicy. The dough is pre-baked like Silvain pizzas in Cuba, which is nothing like the Cuban pizza we used to buy in Cuban homes."
