from Google"Outstanding restaurant! Service was great, attentive and pleasant. The fresh bread from the oven and the tray of butters and oil were great starters. The Mussel Pot was filled with rich stew and lots of mussels. Toast points to soak up that goodness, very large portion. The Pork Shank Osso Bucco was tender and delicious. It was a large shank with lots of meat. The Cornish Hen was tender, moist and lots of flavor. Skin was cooked perfectly as were the sides. The meal was a culinary masterpiece that we thoroughly enjoyed. The Granite Bar and Restaurant is inside the Centennial Hotel, an architectural landmark. If you are reading this and wondering, go and have a wonderful meal that you WILL enjoy."
"From top to bottom our girls night out on January 9th was fantastic at The Granite Restaurant. The atmosphere was cozy yet modern and the food and drinks were unique and perfectly prepared. What really made the experience exceptional however was our server Chandra and the bartender on for the evening. They were attentive to both allergies and preferences and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and food. It is always great when you can chat and laugh with your server and they become a part of your night. Chandra and the Granite staff were awesome. Looking forward to going back."
"The food was good and well-prepared—enjoyable and satisfying. The chef and bartender will work with you while maintaining the integrity of their menus, which is so appreciated! . What truly made the experience memorable, though, was our waitress, Chandra. She was incredibly accommodating with food allergies, substitutions, and even offered to have a mocktail created when I wasn’t in the mood for a cocktail. She checked in just the right amount, shared thoughtful recommendations based on her favorites, and made sure we stayed on track to get to an event on time. Warm, sweet, and genuinely attentive, Chandra handled our humor, requests, substitutions, and even a split check with total grace. Her hospitality elevated the entire experience, and she’s the reason we’d happily return."
"I just wanted to take a second to share my amazing experience! I know Bobby from Twitter, had no idea i’d be coming ahead of time. Came in the other day and ordered the steak. was nothing short of perfection. I ordered the ribeye, cooked to a flawless medium-rare, The exterior had that gorgeous caramelized crust—deep mahogany with just the right amount of char—while the inside was a consistent rosy pink from edge to edge, no gray band in sight. Each slice was insanely tender, almost buttery. I’m really hoping you’ll be doing lunch hours soon."
"I’ll be honest: I probably never would’ve stepped foot in Granite if Chef Bob Spence hadn’t told told me “you need to Centennial and try what they’ve been doing at the Centennial Hotel. Trust me.” Bobby doesn’t throw praise around really ever, so a couple weeks later I made the trip. One dinner in, and I’m already plotting my return trip. Let’s start with the food, because it’s the rare kind of cooking that feels both wildly creative and completely dialed-in at the same time. They have this knack for taking something familiar and flipping it just enough that you sit up straighter in your chair, but never so far that it feels like he’s showing off. But he is. In the best way. The seared scallops, for instance, come with a popcorn sauce I believe? that’s somehow both silky and tastes like actual popcorn and a white bean and kale salad that hits like a quiet explosion. It’s dressed with something I have no idea what it is but it’s amazing. Perfectly seared scallops, centers just textbook execution, but the flavor layering is anything but textbook. And then there’s Scott behind the bar. I don’t throw around “best bartender in New England” lightly, but the man is a wizard. His cocktails are literally exactly what I wanted. 10/10. You’ll see me forever. — Mat"
