"Being busy before the lunch rush, I opted to get a sandwich from the pre-made refrigerator section instead of waiting for a freshly made one. No date/time stamp for when it was made, so I had no idea the avocado/lettuce was brown/yellow beyond fresh for serving to the public. I frequent The Works’ in several other locations and always found the quality excellent. Today was definitely not. In future please date stamp when something is made before putting into your grab & go case. Edit: Found 7.24.25 EXP date when composting this once I was home."

"This past Monday I had an appointment at the hospital due to the store I got there very early. I saw this place and decided to give them a try boy am I glad I did. I don't know how you got those people all there but they were smiling, polite and helpful. I will definitely be back."

"So if you are like me on a business trip, trying to stay consistent with the way you eat and you find a place close by to your hotel that serves breakfast with plenty of good reviews you would want to try it out. Unfortunately, this place is located in a hospital And I ordered just eggs thinking that it would be scrambled but all it is is just a patty type egg as you could see from the photo. Maybe this place is recommended while you’re in the hospital but not recommended if you are looking for breakfast."

"Took over 10 minutes to fill my simple order of a latte- not busy- although I was not last in line- everyone waiting got their food and left- I watched as the worker (only male on shift at the time) was busy restocking- cleaning etc…no one else waiting - no orders to be - filled I waited a bit longer then thought perhaps my order got lost so I politely inquired to the cashier whether this might be the case- she very kindly went to check- I heard the guy say “Kate?” - the man proceeded to make my drink while he said…(sic) “everyone needs to wait their turn” …. He still didn’t put the finished drink on the counter to be picked up when it was ready to go. I waited. Then the ‘with it’ kind cashier went & got it for me from behind the counter - which I appreciated..- I have worked this kind of job and there is no excuse for his behavior. Hope the manager reads this. I very rarely if ever complain- but this was unnecessary-and unnecessarily rude- especially when most of us ordering here are under various levels of stress or pain or both."
