What People Are Saying
from Google"I’ve gone to the Wild Rover about 7-8 times in the last month. The food is delicious. So far I’ve had: the 4 out 5 of the Snack Wrap options (cheeseburger, fish taco, Rueben and fried chicken Caesar) plus one special (Steak Bomb snack wrap) all of which were delicious. I plan to try the falafel snack wrap soon which is the only one I haven’t had yet. The potato skins are delicious; perfectly crisp with the right amount of cheese and bacon. Pro-tip: you can get them with sour cream or hot honey sour cream, and the hot honey sour cream is definitely recommended. The Haddock and Handcuts (fries) were phenomenal. The coleslaw that comes with the haddock and hand cuts is very fresh and crisp, dressed perfectly and they add some masala spice to it which makes their slaw unique and gives it an extra flavor boost. The pretzels are also great: served hot and freshly made with honey mustard with a kick or pub cheese. I’ve had the Rover fries, which are their normal hand cut fries with extra spices, and they were a flavor bomb and cooked perfectly. The fries are served with smoked ketchup which kicks things up a notch. I’m going to work my way through the rest of the menu because everything here has been delicious and fresh. This is a chill bar with a good draft beer list and a good variety of liquors. The mixed drinks are strong and very tasty. The staff are all friendly and attentive. You feel welcome when you come here. The crowd is also pretty chill. The bar has a very cool vibe with cool decorations, exposed brick walls, a nice bar, and a cool setup overall. The prices are extremely reasonable for drinks and food. This is definitely my new go to spot. Check out the Wild Rover and definitely get some food because their chef is clearly putting a lot of love and experience into the dishes. Update: I’ve tried basically everything on the menu now and it’s all been phenomenal. Can’t say enough about how awesome the staff are. Great place!"
"Great Irish pub. Food is amazing and should also be considered a gastropub. Friendly staff and owner, great selection of beers on tap and spirits. Great for events, a fun weekend night out, or just to hang out and relax. Five stars all around."
"Solid Irish pub slightly off the Elm street drag. Great pub style food. Restaurant tables on one side and bar on the other. Good spot to watch a game or catch up with friends. Can be a little noisy, but never too loud to prevent having a conversation with someone else. Highly recommended"
"In a sketchy location and the drinks are absolutely awful. Slow service on busy nights. Boring beer selection as well. Ended up just getting a cider, which didn't taste right. Unsure if they clean their taps or what. Better to just avoid this place and find something nicer on the main drag."
"The food here is SO GOOD! Pub food but with the best flare! The care into everything they put out from the kitchen shows! We got the snack board and WOW everything complimented each other, every part was a new taste, and it was all amazing! Don’t forget the bar staff is always attentive, nice and just overall makes you feel welcome! This is such a hidden gem in Manchester!"
