I arrived just a minute before closing, yet the staff welcomed me with genuine kindness and didn’t hesitate to serve me. She prepared a succulent sandwich and a comforting tomato soup that completely hit the spot. The food was absolutely delicious, but what really stood out was the amazing customer service — friendly, patient, and truly above and beyond. I’m genuinely amazed by the experience and will definitely be coming back just for that combination of great food and genuine hospitality. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the city!"

"Stopped by Cheese Louise in Portsmouth, NH and had the Canadian with house made maple lemonade and garlic parm fries. The food was excellent and the prices were more than fair, but what really made the experience stand out was Josh. Watching him work was a treat. He made it a point to meet, greet, and personally connect with every customer, taking the time to explain the menu and make people feel welcome. The space itself has a warm, homey vibe, and Josh only adds to that atmosphere. He’s approachable, energetic, and clearly passionate about what he does. Grilled cheese is already a comfort food that brings you back to simpler times, and Josh has a way of making the entire place feel like home. To top it off, they donate $4 from the cost of the sandwich to support local community health efforts. It’s rare to find a place that serves great food, treats you like family, and gives back to the community. I’d come back any day."
