"This place is amazing! Upon walking in, there is a very pleasant smell of vetiver and an atmosphere of passion and care. The "old-timey" vibe is so well established and is cemented by the shopkeeps, especially Fulcanelli and Juniper. I walked in, just killing time, and I ended up leaving with some tea and a wonderful candle inspired by Oscar Wilde (who just so happens to be one of my favorite authors)!"

"I absolutely loved my experience here! I come every time I am in Portsmouth. Today, I noticed that they carry an excellent range of niche perfumes that I haven’t yet had the chance to smell. The employee at the perfume counter (named Piccadilly?) was incredibly helpful and patient. He helped me narrow down my scent preferences and then provided individualized recommendations. All in all, I think I smelled close to 15 different perfumes before deciding on one! Yet he never made me feel rushed or like I was being too picky. Even after I settled on my purchase, he helped me smell several other scents that I thought just looked interesting. Next time I or a friend is in the market for another perfume, I will be making the trip back up to Pickwick’s for the excellent selection and even better customer service!"
