"Now this is definitely one of the highlights of this short trip. There is nothing that sings to me more than a good quick meal that is both fresh and tasty. One prepared so well that you think about it for the rest of the day. From the moment I stepped in until I placed my order, all the staff were so friendly and attentive (not just with me but all the other customers that kept entering the establishment). The lobster rolled was not dressed like what you’d usually find in New England. In fact, it was lightly seasoned and allowed you to taste the sweetness of lobster meat itself and how perfectly cooked it was! You can’t hide quality when serving it almost bare like this that it’s a purist’s dream! Dang, I can’t stop thinking about! The shrimp sandwich was another simple culinary delight executed well. Perfectly cooked shrimp, dressed lightly, on a nicely toasted buttered brioche with crisp lettuce and tomatoes. I inhaled this just as quickly with my eyes rolling with every bite. Dang it again. The gluten-free clam chowder was a great way to finish off this quick meal. Perfectly balanced, tasty, salted perfectly, and loaded with chunky clams. What a way to warm up in this NE chilly weather this time of year. Without even trying their other fresh seafood options, they’ve already made it to my list of must-visits when in the area. Can’t wait to be back again!"

"Great service… tourist here… shocker right🤷‍♀️ but this place just made the top of my list !!!! I’ve been to a handful of places around and this has become a favorite from the picture perfect setting to the great staff and freshness of the food makes this a must stop shop … perfect for lunch🙌😉shared my lunch with my other like I said it was the perfect lunch!!! Grabbed the clam chowder and a slab of smoked salmon with a side of potato salad to finish everything off and damn was it GOOD!!!"

"Stopped in on our return trip from Maine. Excellent selection of fish, seafood, and produce. Very clean and beautifully displayed products. We opted for two lobster rolls and two crab rolls. Everything was delicious, and the soft bun was an interesting spin on the traditional lobster roll I was accustomed to. Street parking was a little hard to find but understandable for the location. Staff was wonderful!!!"

"The fish market blends beautifully into the atmosphere of the city. I rushed into Portsmouth on some urgent business and before I knew it, it was lunchtime and I was hungry. I discovered this shop while walking around the area. The inside of the shop was clean and there were fresh seafood on display. Among the many options, the one that caught my eye was the lobster roll. The fresh seasoning went really well with the generous amount of lobster meat and it was delicious. When it gets warmer, I'd like to buy a lobster roll here again and eat it while looking at the ocean."
