"The Ramen Club is an incredibly chill spot with a genuinely authentic ambience and fantastic ramen with a thoughtfully curated menu. The vibe is always relaxed and pleasant, every visit has felt consistently great. The ramen varieties are all excellent, and we always end up reordering favorites on the side like the old-style cabbage with bonito flakes, fried eggplant, karaage, and other small plates. Everything is done really well. The service is friendly and cabbage. As usual, apologies for the pictures of half eaten food - simply no willpower dig into the first bite or two before taking the picture. We love this place and are so grateful it’s here."

"The atmosphere in here was incredible and the Ramen is worth the trip! I went a little before a dinner rush and got sat no problem with my group. I ordered the shio ramen and it the chicken broth was delicious and umami. For drinks I was curious enough to try the Fuji San and it did not disappoint. Overall service was quick and friendly and I would come back here again even with the competition in surrounding towns."

"If you’re searching for a ramen spot in Portsmouth that delivers unforgettable flavor, warm hospitality, and true culinary craftsmanship, this restaurant is an absolute 10-star gem. From the moment you walk in, the cozy aroma of broth, garlic, and slow-braised pork envelopes you—promising comfort, depth, and satisfaction in every bowl. I started with the pork bun, and it instantly set the tone. The bun was clearly homemade—soft, pillowy, and slightly sweet—hugging a generous piece of tender pork with perfect caramelization. Every bite melted in my mouth. The fried eggplant was another standout: crispy on the outside, silky inside, and seasoned beautifully. It’s the kind of appetizer you could reorder twice and still crave more. Then came the star of the night: the ramen. The Shiahito ramen had a clean yet deeply savory broth, rich with umami and balanced with fresh toppings that added complexity without overwhelming the palate. The garlic ramen was bold and aromatic—the kind of bowl that satisfies your soul, packed with roasted garlic flavor that lifts every sip. The Tori ramen, made with chicken, was unexpectedly elegant. Light but flavorful, silky but layered—perfect for anyone who loves a broth that feels nourishing and soothing. Then the Tan Tan ramen arrived: creamy, spicy, nutty, and absolutely addictive. It had the ideal level of heat to wake up the senses while staying harmonious from start to finish. What truly impressed me is the consistency. Every dish arrived piping hot, beautifully plated, and seasoned to perfection. The noodles had the perfect chew, the broths tasted long-simmered with real dedication, and the service was warm, friendly, and attentive. If you love ramen—or great food in general—this place deserves a spot at the very top of your list. Truly a 10-star experience in Portsmouth"

"This place is really really good. The noodles are homemade, the broth was perfectly spicy & salty, & the pork & egg were tender to perfection in my miso. The specialty drinks are also 10/10, they do a fun spin on whisky using matcha. Will definitely be back!"

"My experience at this restaurant was disappointing from the moment I walked in. There was no greeting or acknowledgment, and the check-in process was unclear. The host stand is pushed off to the far left and looks more like a register, so it wasn’t obvious that guests are supposed to check in there. For a moment, I wasn’t sure if we were supposed to check in at the bar instead. The hosts working that evening did not seem engaged or welcoming, which immediately set a negative tone. We ordered ramen and curry. The curry was good, and the ramen had good flavor. However, when I asked a simple question about the broth—specifically whether it was tonkatsu, since tonkatsu broth is typically cloudy—the waitress responded with unnecessary attitude. Instead of explaining the type of broth they use, she insisted the ramen was “good,” as if I was complaining rather than asking for clarification. It felt defensive and unprofessional, especially for a restaurant that should be knowledgeable about its own menu. For the portion sizes, the pricing is on the higher side. The decor and atmosphere are nice, but the front-of-house service needs significant improvement. Staff demeanor and communication play a major role in the overall dining experience, and unfortunately, that part fell short. Hongs Noodle House in Dover remains my top choice in the area."
