What People Are Saying
from Google"I came to Four Aces with much anticipation from the online reviews, recommendations from friends and the expansive menu. Perhaps I over-hyped the place but my experience was fine. I came around lunch time on a Friday and it was certainly busy. Google told me there might be a wait, but being alone, I sat at the counter without delay. I found the menu was impressive, with many options for both breakfast and lunch. I had already established what I would choose, and this was the chicken fried steak. It was a favorite of mine from another diner that had closed last year. So I ordered a coffee and a water, the chicken fried steak with scrambled eggs (and a slice of American cheese) and opted for tater tots. I also ordered a maple donut to go. The eggs were fluffy, the tater tots were typical, the gravy was fine but the chicken fried steak was a little salty. I found the maple donut to be a high point of my experience, with a cake like dough with a real maple flavor and softness to the exterior finish. Service was fine despite it being busy and the diner had the real character of that classic old diner. None of the college students around me ordered the chicken fried steak, so perhaps it was a poor choice from the menu that affected my trip. I would consider revisiting for the lunch menu."
"Such a cute, delicious breakfast spot! Saw them on Yelp and wanted to give them a shot - so glad we did. The beignets were pillowy soft, and the bourbon syrup was perfect. Will definitely be back soon!"
"Ordered the full house for breakfast. Very generous portions. Great service. Great food. Many selections on the menu, not even kidding. There’s a lot. Would definitely go here again when I’m in the area. Also love the theme. It’s really elegant."
"Some places get weirded out by single ladies who eat all alone. I felt no such aloofness on a recent visit to Four Aces. In fact, at the counter, there was a single guy to my left reading a novel and another single woman to my right scrolling her phone. Booths were filling up by 7:30am on Sunday. I had a fried green tomato special Bennie - the combination of feta and hollandaise was a bit too rich for me but sausages and tater tots were better than expected. Fun old diner feel. Great choice if passing through the area."
"This was an amazing breakfast and brunch spot, so popular with locals that there was 20-25 minutes wait time. Luckily we got seats at the counter without any wait time. The place is old school diner with compact booths and huge counter. In the back they have merchandise and all the awards and recognitions framed. The menu had wide variety of breakfast items. We ordered the mickey mouse waffle, steak & egg and scrambled egg with tots. The steak was little extra cooked, but still I loved the whole dish, the egg and toast were perfect. Waffle was also cooked well. Our server was a hard worker. She was helping a bunch guests all sitting at the counter. To my surprise, they accepted all kinds of credit cards, not just cash. I liked the modern touch there :p"
