What People Are Saying
from Google"I used to love this places but lately the quality went down so badly. I bought a slice of orange cake today and it was terrible. It was old, uncooked. I never had something so bad. How can they sell something so inedible?! They can get people sick."
"Pros: Conveniently located Cons: - Old and nearly burnt/hard croissants even at 9am (waste of money) - Worker(s) are disturbingly cold and rude; I was the only customer there...I could care less about having a whole conversation, but they can't seem to be bothered to respond to any type of greeting or gratitude given. The most miserable cafe worker(s) I've encountered. Even NYC cafes have better manners. Response: Almond croissant. This was my first visit to this location. After reading reviews from the visit, it does not seem to be a one-off situation - your staff lack manners and hospitality. Happy to spend my hard-earned money elsewhere since it's a bother to serve customers here."
"Update: tried their babka and cherry pistachio tart. The babka was a bit dry for the outer crust but the inside was chewy and good. It could have done with more chocolate and nuts. The cherry pistachio tart was good - the crust was a bit bland. Came here as soon as it opened 8am. There are ample metered parking spots around this time. A lot of neighborhood folk's local coffee shop. They have a lot of seats and wifi which is great to get some work done. I got their brewed coffee - they serve La Colombe coffee beans. Their almond and chocolate croissant was a huge disappointment - it was so dry and borderline burnt, especially the top half. Considering it's a french bakery they really got it wrong but hoping it was just a one-off mistake. Overall a great place but the croissant was just really unfortunate."
"Great neighbourhood bakery. The pastries are really tasty, especially the babka. The service was amazing as well."
"Great croissants, average coffee, terrible service, tired decor. I don’t understand when dining in why we are given things in packaging instead of mugs and plates. I use to tip out of kindness and courtesy but I refuse to now - food is never brought to us, the attitudes of the staff are rude and cold. I simply only come here because it’s by my apartment and the pain au chocolates are good."
