"I was excited to try Uptown Forum Coffee in Hoboken because I’d heard great things about their cold brew — and to be fair, it was excellent. Unfortunately, the overall experience was soured by the lack of basic customer service. The staff didn’t greet me, no “hello” or “welcome,” no smiles — just long faces and one-word answers. As a new client who wasn’t familiar with the menu, I asked a few questions about their “clouds”, coffee options, and loyalty program, but it felt like I had to pull words out of them. Instead of feeling excited about discovering a new spot, I felt unwelcome and like I was inconveniencing them by asking simple questions 🤷🏼‍♀️ A smile and a bit of warmth would go a long way. The cold brew with pistachio syrup and pistachio cloud is in my opinion worth coming for, but the service made it hard to want to return."
