"Great experience! The glass room out front makes for a lovely atmosphere and I really appreciated the hostess noticing it was a bit warm when she seated us and offering to turn the AC up. That great service continued through the meal from the rest of the staff. Fun cocktails and a tasty cheeseboard were the perfect start to an all around great meal. The rooftop is always popular but I recommend giving the lovely dining room a chance too."

"My very specific experience was a 2-hour reserved open bar with pizza, and while this isn't my preferred night out, the drinks were accurate and the pizza was tasty. We had a roped off area which was cool; however the speaker and DJ were also in that area. I am not a fan of yelling every word I use and that was consistent from when the party started until I had to leave because it was just too loud.. for me. Others may love that and if so, here's the place to be! Another part of the service I did not like was the open bar; it came with a menu that included different aspects of typical drinks, but no wiggle room to combine those things, or add non liquor drinks, like olive juice for example. That felt off and the person behind the bar was clearly annoyed as they bent the rule for one party guest, but not the rest of them. I likely wouldn't go back short of an event for a person I care about, however, if a loud bar that has a restaurant downstairs and tvs playing sports upstairs is your thing, this is a great place for you!"

"So, on 11/11 I proposed to my fiancée. Anyone who’s proposed before knows how stressful it can be!! I called about 1.5 weeks before and spoke with Aidy. She was literally a godsend. She reassured me and let me know that she would accommodate us and our loved ones and make sure our day was amazing. Fast forward 1.5 weeks and Aidy was there to greet us! Her, Gabriela, and Jerry provided us with amazing service for my party of 12. The food was amazing and everything was worth every single dollar. My fiancée had an amazing time and is super happy with the day as a whole. Thank you soooo much to the Metropolis team. There is no price I can put on this memory. "Visited for the Hudson Restaurant Week menu and had a great time with friends! We've visited once before where we sat at the bar for drinks and kept thinking how good their espresso martinis are so we had to return for the food. With the restaurant week deal, for $50 I ordered the caesar salad as my appetizer, salmon for my entrée and tres leches for dessert. For drinks, a pumpkin spice espresso martini, Patron Moscow mule, and New York sour. We enjoyed our meals; my friend loved her braised beef short rib entree. The drinks were well crafted, especially the espresso martini! If you plan on visiting for restaurant week, it ends 2/7/2025 so definitely take advantage of their lunch or dinner prix-fixe menu. And if you visit during happy hour, it's a deal on top of a deal! Service was a 10/10, the staff was very attentive and accommodating. The ambiance is nice too, I love the little booth towards the back. Would definitely return and check out their sister location, Belo Bar!"
